My cold demeanor was so starkly different from my previous obedience and gentleness, and that unsettled Hansel. I noticed the unease flickering in his eyes.
He recalled Nara's earlier words and reached out toward me with a mix of regret and hesitation. But I threw the bag of groceries I had bought at him instead.
The seafood in the bag spilled all over him, and Nara shrieked, "Hansel!"
I looked at Hansel and sneered coldly. "I truly am pathetic. To think I was even about to make dinner for you? Hansel, we're over."
