Reverse Lighting Novels & Stories

His cold, dead eyes locked onto my fallen form pinned against the concrete pillar. The brake lights flared a bright, angry red. The car screeched, the transmission grinding gears as the driver threw the heavy machine into reverse. Tires spun against the slick pavement, spitting chunks of dirty ice and broken glass into the freezing air. The SUV backed up in a sharp, jagged arc, the crumpled bumper scraping against the concrete curb. Turning the steering wheel hard, the driver was lining up another direct shot at me.

“Whatever you’re doing, do it now!” She steps forward and presses her hands against the swirling edge. Her eyes flare silver, brighter and hotter than ever before. “I feel it all,” she gasps. “Every bit of energy. Every death she stole. Mom, it’s huge and awful and—” “Focus!” Aldric’s voice cuts in somehow, even though he isn’t here. “Reverse the current! Remember the flow!” Erica’s face twists with effort. Silver light pours from her palms, shoving hard against the dark swirl.

The Night Before The car ride back was quiet at first. Johnny gripped the wheel tighter than necessary, his jaw tight, the streetlights slicing across his face as they passed. His silence wasn’t cold—it was simmering. He was holding something back, likely a flood of words he didn’t want to unleash while Minnie was still beside him. Minnie glanced over, her fingers twitching in her lap. Then she reached out, gently pried his right hand off the wheel, and placed it in her lap. Her thumb brushed slow, soothing circles over the back of his hand.

I switched the car into reverse and merged to the left until I was directly in front of a white Audi R8 that was firing at me. I slammed on my breaks, causing the Audi to hit the ramp in front of my car and flip into the air. I floored it while still in reverse, and watched as the airborne Audi landed directly on top of the orange Lamborghini behind it, causing both of the cars to burst into flames. I spun my wheel again sharply, turning the car back to its proper direction on the road. “Happy?” I said as I smirked, flooring it and trying to catch up to Mikkinol and Ace.

A reversal would have to be performed. Reversing magic spell takes the spell off you and sends it back to the person who put it on you in the first place. Ellen believes that it is safer to reverse a spell than attempting to get revenge on someone. Ellen placed a red and black candle on the table. She cut seven divots on the top of the candles with a knife. She then placed a reversible oil on each candle. Jennifer took a nail and wrote, Lillie, I return the spell back to you on the candle. The candle slowly flickered, and the wax began to burn. Jennifer felt relieved because the spell was reversed. Ellen gave Jennifer a candle and instructed her to light it every night in front of a mirror a

Reiner said as his forehead knitted. “Yes. And I confirmed it earlier.” Vince explained. “… so it was your suspicion before?” Reiner sighed. Vince looked at him. "You are already lucky that you can still see Shane during the day and even be with him." he said when he recalled that Reiner and Shane dated during the weekend. Reiner looked at him. "What about Rai?" he asked. "He can turn back to a guy only when it is midnight." Vince answered when he recalled Rai transformed earlier back to a guy before Rai disappeared in the darkness. "And since we see him as Raina during the day, then he must be turning back into a girl at dawn." he said.

“Okay, okay! On the back there should be a tiny red light and a switch under it. If you flip it fast enough, it shuts down without sending a shutdown alert to the owner.” “Perfect,” I say, marching toward it.

“What is it?” I didn’t answer immediately. My eyes stayed on the gate. Slowing moving from the guard on the left to the one on the right. “Reverse,” I said calmly, my eyes still staring cautiously. “What?” Jose turned, looking confused. “Don’t argue. Just reverse. Now!” I barked. The driver slammed the gear into reverse and — BOOM! A deafening blast tore through the air as the front gate erupted in fire. The shockwave hit the car like a hammer, cracking the bulletproof glass instantly. The car shoved backwards violently, the tires screeching as the driver lost control for a second.

I glanced at him and sped even more. “Slow! Slow! Slow!” He widened his eyes. “A TRUCK!” “Where?” “Right in front of you!” “Oh, shit!” “SLOW! SLOW DOWN! SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!” “I am trying! Will you stop screaming!” *HONK! HONK!* “TRUCK! FUCK! FUUUUCK!” I reversed the car as the truck came right towards us. I drove it backwards as fast as I could. Seeing a side lane, I entered my car backwards and then applied the brake.
