The once blue sky was now a mixture of black and white with the moon reflecting its radiant image. Wails filled the air as a ray of light fell from the sky, hitting a mountain on the other side of town. I groaned, wincing as my hand was scorched by the flaming book. The pages settled, words in red appearing on the pages. "Strigoi, Nosferatu, Jiangshi…"

Liam asked with a raised eyebrow. “Well, it's obvious he needs a werewolf as his Luna, he's an Alpha for god's sake” Sage said, seeming relieved. Liam gave me a deep look and it's as if he knows I'm not entirely truthful. He just shook his head and turned towards Sage, “why are you here?” He asked. “I needed to come and call you so that we can go and meet Alpha, there's supposed to be a meeting at the lair tonight before we go to the forest for the full moon ritual, are you both forgetting what's important?” Sage asked with a huge frown.

"She is moving fast for someone with a dislocated shoulder," Conrad observed quietly as we ducked under a broken tree branch. "She survived an assassination attempt and blackmailed my mother in the span of thirty minutes," I replied and kept my eyes on the trail. "I do not think pain is enough to stop her right now." We rounded a sharp corner and the massive stone silhouette of the Temple of the Moon loomed ahead in the darkness. A deep and sickening sense of dread immediately pooled in the bottom of my gut.

Layla frowned at the word party. "You don't have to come if you don't want to",Riven assured her quickly when he noticed the panicked expression on her face. Layla went quiet, thinking about how a party would be. "Why is it called a black and white party?",she asked after contemplating it. "It's an annual ball that is thrown to honour the moon goddess",Riven explained. "The white is the colour of the moon, and the black is for the earth of the island"
