Eyes wide. No hesitation. The blade sank into the first one’s throat. The second raised his gun, but I was faster — sliced his face, then stabbed his chest. Both dropped, lifeless. My bare feet slapped the marble floor. I saw the sitting room doors — wide open.

She cast a quick glance up at the mansion windows to confirm that everyone else is asleep. Then, she crouched, quickly but with trained ease, her coat flaring slightly as she ran her hand along the trunk's edge. Most people would have missed it—but not her. Twist the right latch. Tap the seam twice. Then press. Click. The hidden compartment released with a hiss of air. Grace peeled it open, revealing an array of weapons neatly strapped into the custom rig. A silver handgun. Throwing knives in matched pairs. Two silencers. A compact combat blade tucked against the lining. Everything polished. Lethal. Ready.

I try to shout, cry, move, but all attempts turn futile. "Now", he puts the knife to my chest, "Be gone for good." With that, he stabs directly into my chest, the extreme pain filling up my whole body, a strained blood-curdling scream erupts from me, breaking all the restrictions in my throat. My gaze meets his black orbs that's slowly turning blue and familiar. His canines retreat back into his mouth and his smile upturns. "Crystal," he says, but it's barely a whisper as I bleed to death.

Then I grabbed my sheath for my waist and inserted my seven inch parkerized blade. “Holy Moon Goddess! You look like you are going to war.” Rory squealed. I laughed at her energy. I look over at Aiden who is looking at me with some emotion I cannot name. The last thing I grab is my Kukri Machete. It’s eight inches long and completely black. There is only a thin silver lining along the edge. It’s great for combat, but I am going to slice through some of the targets. “Okay, I’m ready.”

Liam let out a strangled groan, stumbling forward as the knife clattered across the floor. By the time Violet spun around, Liam was already pinned to the ground—his arms twisted painfully behind his back, Jay’s knee pressing between his shoulder blades. “YOU’ve got some fucking nerve,” Jay growled, his voice like steel. “Touching her? You just signed your own death warrant.” Liam’s face twisted, confused and terrified. “WH—WHAT the hell are you talking about?!” Jay shoved him harder, pressing the cold muzzle of his gun to Liam’s temple. “You’ll find out soon enough. But first, shut the hell up.”

Blake’s POV She looked horrified as I removed the blade from his chest. She should recognise the blade, but I was unsure. It had been in her bedroom when I went snooping. Not in the room she shared with Logan, but the one that had been designated to her. The blade was hidden under the bed. She might not have even known it was there. The blades of the Blood Pack seemed to have a life of their own. “You killed him! You. Actually killed him.”

Even when Dale had unlocked his dark magic, the man had the right defenses, sending it back with ease. “He’s too strong,” Dale whispered. Grim wasn’t blind. He could see. Reed went for their throats first, attacking them before they could manage to catch their breaths. He might have missed Dale, but his precision paid off as he nicked Grim before he could jump out of the way. It was a slight cut, but it hurt like hell. Reed smirked. “Feel that, Grim? That’s the silver-studded blade talking. I had prepared for this very moment.”
