Tank Brick, Ace, Lug Nut, Axel, Thor and I are in Viper’s office talking about what Brick found yesterday. He was able to get license plate numbers from three vehicles that were near the club when Lilly felt someone watching her. Brick is going to run all the plates to see if any belong to the guy we are looking for. We are also making plans for one of us to stake out the bar the guy goes to see if we can find him. We are making sure Lilly is cover for guards when we hear shouting from the hallway.

Riley's POV After Kirk left the room, I lay sprawled on the bed, flipping through the pages of a book. I couldn't continue with my drawing because my attention was already divided, that was why I resorted to reading. And quite frankly, reading helped take my mind off the things Kirk had said, at least for that point in time. The book I was reading was mostly about how the northern kingdom came to be, and I was quite amazed about some of the things I read.

They headed away from the library, riding in an unexpectedly comfortable silence. Riley wondered again what the hell he was doing. He tried to examine what had happened rationally, but it seemed sanity had nothing to do with this. He thought of the old adage about an unstoppable force and realized that was exactly what had happened here. My eyes began to search for the perfect adventure book. “The campsite that’s not so far from here,” I uttered, picking up a book. “Red Rising. That’s a good one.” Riley said, smiling widely. “I’m glad I picked a good one,” I answered, walking back to the counter to make payments for the book. “Oh, you don’t have to pay. It’s on the house.” He hastily said from behind me, causing me to halt.
