Rick walked towards Dani as she got her books out and she looked up and saw him as she turned to leave. “What are you even doing with them? Riley moved fast—faster than I expected—his claws slicing through the throat of a man blocking our path. The guard choked on his own blood, stumbling back, and I didn’t hesitate before slamming into the next one, sending his body crashing into a control panel. Sparks burst from the impact, the room flickering with erratic light.
