I begin, but it is too late. A truck veers out from a side road, its headlights blinding as it barrels toward our convoy. Holmes reacts with years of training, swerving hard to avoid a direct hit, but the attacking vehicle still catches our rear quarter panel. The impact sends our SUV spinning. I brace myself against the door as we careen off the road and into the thick underbrush. Beside me, Roxy screams as she is thrown sideways. Her head smashes against the window with a sickening crack.

I looked harder out the thick glass doors, peering through the rain. There was a faint silhouette of a little boy around eight running frantically around glancing up at the sky and into the shadows everywhere. I sprinted out the doors, the fat drops coming down on my uncovered head. “What’s wrong?” I stopped dead in my tracks. Sprinting around high in furious circles was a huge black shadow. Its deep red evil eyes shot through my soul and made me stagger back into the hard doors. It looked like a black ghost, but it had a ragged gray exterior that looked like pasty, dead skin covered in deep cuts.

I looked back at the pathetic human clinging to life on the ground and saw him looking at us, curious as to what his friend’s fate held. I licked the blood from my hand that was left from the first victim, who was still bleeding out against the wall, and I summoned my minion, Hex, who would tap into his wendigo form and eat his friends. I wanted to watch Bradley’s reaction as Hex devoured them, their screams filling the room, and their blood creating puddles on the cement ground.

Standing further away from the precinct, shielded by a light pole, Carmen saw him step out, one arm outstretched and holding a gun. The Headshot Killer! Carmen watched him pull the trigger a second time, sending a bullet cutting through the air and getting her right on the forehead, splintering her skull as it plunged through to her brain. . . "Huh!" she gasped, hitting her head against the bus window. . .again. Carmen quickly felt her forehead when a black Ferrari sped past. No blood. She sunk back into her seat, realizing what had just happened. . .or hadn't happened?

An unimpressive number had racked up in the brief morning hour since she left the parking lot. She tapped her memo app and scrolled through her half-constructed blog post ideas: the tragic devolution of vampires in the horror genre; the best and the worst of the found footage horror explosion; the best indie horror out of this year’s film festival circuit; scream queens to watch, the new horror badasses and final girls. She tapped her nail on the edge of her phone case as she formulated the sentences in her mind. Then the phone vibrated against her palm. Brady: And the likes keep coming!

Right before he took his last breath, he opened his eyes and mustered the last bit of strength he had left to caress my face with his small, cold hand. "Don't be sad, Mommy," he had whispered. At the same time, the healers discovered that Faith was carrying a pup. … Felix pulled open the front passenger seat door when I walked over to the black Maybach. I slipped inside and buckled my seatbelt. "Where to?" Felix asked. "38 Oceanview Road." There was a small cottage on the edge of the Blackrock pack's territory. It used to be Felix's and my secret base. The car suddenly screeched to a stop.

Rose asked. “In my dream, I was in the middle of the forest and its full moon. As I was walking, I saw a shadow so I went for it, and it turns out, it’s a guy. I thought that the guy will help me escape from that forest but it turns out, I'm running. Why? Because he's a f*cking vampire! Red eyes and very dangerous fangs. I can't see his whole face, I don't know why” I explained to them. "Then?" they immediately asked.

I rolled my both eye's after I turn off the TV. I heard her complain but I unbothered sip my coffee. “Hey. Can't you see I'm watching? Gosh. You're so rude.” She said. “We were supposed to watch drama, not that.” I uttered. She glance at me with annoyance in her gaze and quickly did the opposite from what I did earlier. “That is more interesting than that. From what I heard, the girl has been bitten by vampire. You know like in dramas! It's so cool though.” She added and was going to use the remote but I snatched it from her.

“Oh, don’t worry, kiddos.I’m just warming up. There are plenty more horrors to see. You heard the kid. None of you are getting out of here alive!” X Engines roared and tires spun out, throwing gravel into the darkness as hordes of vehicles sped off looking for the exit, but finding instead a chained gate topped with razor wire. The first car stopped when it got there, but the second didn’t slow down. It raced down the dirt track as if to ram through but then there was a shot and the truck spun out of control and crashed into the first car. The TVs on the stage had caught fire and, in their glow, I could make out the seven foot shadow of the big Skoger holding a deer rifle.

“Hit the gas and pray they scatter.” “Right….” There were at least twenty ghouls of all shapes and sizes in front of him, barring the road. I knew the SUV would take them out, but it had to be scary driving through them like that. Brandon didn’t waver, though. Elliott, Aaron, and Margie all positioned themselves so they could shoot out of the windows, which helped some, but there were still plenty of bloodsuckers in the road. Brandon pounded the pedal and flew through them. Most of the Vampires instinctively got out of the way, but one of them shattered the windshield. Another almost took out Elliott as he scrambled to get back inside.
