Alpha Nox
Mine were nothing more than mindless husks, hell-bent on destruction and mayhem.
A beat of silence rang out before our two sides collided.
I pulled the silver blade from its sheath on my thigh and charged, aiming for my brother’s throat. Slade dodged, spinning as he easily avoided the blow. He came up with his fists, slamming one into the sensitive meat just below my armpit. I deflected his second, and dug my elbow into his gut, using him as a springboard.
We were nothing more than blurs dancing and weaving throughout the army of the dead. My friends and family jumped back into the fight, but more than once I could feel Nox’s eyes gaze upon me.
