I heard Gavin say, sounding a bit uncomfortable, and I decided I would ask him why soon. "It was so much fun." Karen said, and I saw the same glint her father had in her eyes, and it worried me a bit. Had we unleashed a new terror? How could Karen kill wolves with her eyes closed, Wolves that were in hiding? I was going to ask her about it soon, but right now. We had a rogue to question. "Help me," the man said in obvious pain, " That woman is crazy, please help me. We were only trying to protect ourselves, we weren't doing anything." he said, and I looked at him funny.

"I need to wash the thought of that girl out of my head." The door opened again, and Robin walked in. He was a presence that demanded silence. Tall, dark, and broad-shouldered, he filled the space effortlessly. He wore a brown shirt that looked ready to burst against his chest. As a wolf-human hybrid, he was more formidable than most. He had a way of using his primal side that made even us stay on our toes. Robin’s dark eyes fell on the body on the floor. He didn't look angry, just inconvenienced. He looked at Rory. "You hit your limit for the month. No more casualties until the books reset next week."

Ryder clears his throat and says, "This is Arianna Snow. Your wolf." What?

I step up onto the trailer, pouncing off of it and landing squarely on top of the other wolf, ramming my sword down through the base of its skull. “NOOOO!” an ear-shattering scream comes from behind me and I spin to see a wolf fighting for its life under a much larger rogue that tears at it going for its throat. Robin sprints and jumps in between them, landing herself over the bottom wolf's throat with her body. The wolf above her bites into her side as she releases an agonizing scream. My body moves before I even have a moment to comprehend I am moving.

"Oh—look, your man's going in for the kill." I turned my head just in time to see Robbie, still in his reddish-brown wolf form, slam the golden rogue wolf onto its back with a snarl that echoed through the clearing. His claws pinned her down mercilessly as she thrashed. Then, with one final growl, he sank his teeth deep into her throat—right at the front where the windpipe met the artery. She jerked. Twitched. Then went still. I should've felt victorious. But instead—

"I don't want to be like my dad, reduced to nothing more than a rural alpha for some werewolves in the forest. I want to be more than that." It was Robin who replied him this time. She shifted her chair back with a creak and stood up too, then faced Aidan. "Do you know how many wolves have died in this town and beyond ever since we went for that battle? Do you know how many more will die? I lost friends, young boy. I lost...I lost—" Robin's face crumpled into a grimace as she tried to hold back tears. She sniffed and continued.

Surprisingly, the two guards are nowhere to be seen, allowing us to pass through easily. As we enter through the door, our attention is immediately drawn to three wolves lying on the ground. EYOLF questions the presence of the two individuals beside the wolves, suspecting that they may be involved. Upon closer inspection, I realize that the two individuals are indeed POXWER and FAXNERY. It's disappointing to see them get caught by a vampire. Not far from them, I spot Warg and Lyca, who has taken on the appearance of a male. They are engaged in a fierce battle against the vampires. Without hesitation, we rush past them to lend our assistance.

His deep hatred for the werewolves drove him to what he is right now, a cruel and merciless hunter. “Mikana thought she’s immune to wolfsbane. Her wounds were healed already. We transfered her in the dungeon, particularly on that cell.” Rolyn, Robert’s younger sister and right hand stood behind him. They were inside his office. Robert was standing in front of his massive floor-to-ceiling window watching hunters do their daily practice to hone their skills. He’s been so strict when it comes to honing ones skills in using weapons against the werewolves since they can’t solely rely on strength.

I’d make sure she understood exactly what she’d be dealing with if she dared touch anyone I cared about. “Get behind me,” Aries growled, suddenly at my side. But I didn’t move—not an inch. My blood was pumping. Not from fear, but from something deeper. Wilder. It was like a call. My veins felt hot, like my body had been thrust into a furnace. Another attacker hurled a fireball into the field. Robin leapt forward, shifting mid-air into his wolf form and tackling the man to the ground with a massive paw. The flames fizzled out on the scorched grass, hissing like vipers.

Rogues. 'Aleister, go help Marcus. I'll deal with this and catch up.' I told him and he nodded and ran on. I turned and heard rustling in front of me and 3 rogue wolves stalked out of the bushes. I let out a low growl and stepped closer to them when suddenly a man walked out from behind a tree. He didn't look to be older than me. Early 20s maybe. With short spiky silver dyed hair. “So you're the big bad Alpha of Midnight Hour. Listen, we don't want trouble. We just want to ask the girl a few questions. See if that is who we are looking for.” He said in a smug tone.
