'Shit! She continued to make that climb with a kid on her back.' There were more than twenty Rouges, Ryan's pack jumped into the fight. Most of them tried to make way to the cliff to pull the Rouges that were chasing after the girl. They had to make the fight in the human form as it was difficult to climb across the rocky surface in their wolf form. Ryan smashed his way through the Rogues, His presence seemed to attract their attention as most of the rogues gave up climbing, and charged straight to attack him.

“Steady now.” I heard the voice again, this time in a calm gentle manor, almost like a mother speaking to her child. “Look, everyone is staring at us. We are beautiful.” The calm voice spoke again. “Who are you?” I asked, still feeling weak as I tried to remain standing. “I am Zara, your wolf.” I was shocked with disbelief. That was what just happened to me. I shifted for the first time, something I had only ever dreamed about.

A howl sounds some distance in the front, just at the same time a group of rogues leap out of the bushes. I spring into motion immediately, all my training kicking in. I knock the first one down just before he shifts into his wolf, wrapping the wire around his neck and pulling hard. Suddenly, the clearing is a battlefield. Weapons clash against weapon, rogues fall down. I roll to the side, avoiding the snapping of fangs as a wolf lands where I stood a second ago. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself.

Rara asked, standing up with a hopeful grin. “Of course... hey! What’s that?” the wind fairy said suddenly, pointing behind Rara. Rara turned to look, her curiosity piqued. At that moment, the fairies’ expressions turned devious. They raised their legs and kicked her off the fog with a synchronized movement. “Pandaaaa!!! Help me.....” Rara screamed as she plummeted towards the ground, her voice filled with genuine panic. The fairies watched from above with satisfied smiles. They were confident that the chosen one wouldn’t meet an untimely end so easily. The wind whipped around them as they hovered, their laughter faintly echoing through the air.

How dare they? I grab the first stupid rogue who stands in my way by the neck, my protracted claws digging into his flesh with ease. I don’t bother looking as I tear out his throat. Through the side of my eye, I see one rogue lift Lia’s unconscious body on the back of another shifted rogue, and he disappears into the night. And at the same time, the remaining fourteen rogues shift to their scrawny wolf form, all facing me. They all step forward, almost as if controlled by a force, their leader growls loudly in my face, tears dripping from its tongue.

Fen surged beneath his skin, dark claws emerging as he threw the attacker aside. But the rogue didn’t stay down. It rose immediately, shaking off blows that should have shattered ribs. Pain meant nothing to it. Mira felt that unnatural endurance echo in her own marrow, and deep within the bond, Sera whimpered in shared distress. Darius froze for a heartbeat, staring at the creature. The crescent scar on the rogue’s shoulder pulsed with a faint, sickly light beneath the rain. This was no ordinary fighter. It was a vessel emptied of will, animated only by whatever dark ritual had carved that mark into its flesh.

She was huffing loudly while dad and Laura tried to calm her down. When her eyes fell on me, she yelled out loudly pointing her painted nails at me. "You! Because of you this happened. You took into this rogue and now this rogue is my mate. It's all your doing. You did it deliberately." I frowned and followed her finger which turned towards the tall man in the crowd. He!! I remember him. He is the rogue I helped a few days back. He was alone and weak just like me. I had to beg dad to let him stay in the pack. I haven't seen him since then. He is Nicky's mate. Moon Goddess gives him strength.

I gave him a faint glance and continued to feel around the bottom of the fountain. My old pack mark had been overwritten by one of far greater power five years ago. Of course he couldn’t find it. But I couldn't be bothered to explain that to him. “I don’t need your protection.” Liam stared at his device, his expression darkening. "Elena, do you have any idea what it means to be a rogue? Without pack protection, you're nothing more than prey. Any beta could rip you apart without a second thought!"

Its Rowena, I don’t think a princess is ever going to be a sacrifice. Silence followed after I had said that,but I felt his tension ease. I looked at him in a way he wouldn’t know, I wanted to take all his features, his looks and the way he looked at me when I wasn’t starring. Why do they call you the rogue Alpha , I found myself asking. When I asked that question it seemed to get his attention because he looked at me. I don’t go with their rules princess and I don’t worship their stupid moon goddess who abandoned my people when your people turned against us or because I protected my people with my own power.

“Is that the reason you remove them from the pack?” Thrumming my fingers on my desk, I made an annoyed grunt and said, “Vaewolf are rogue and don't assimilate to a pack. They follow their own rules and follow their own drum beats. Now enough about them. Go train with the guards and take your pal Nathan, or go to the village bar and have a drink,” I stated. As he stood, he smiled. “So Nathan's cool because he is just a vampire and you don't want to share your good liquor.”
