“Oh. No. We have a whole pack. Grandmother came with the prince from the Lakelands though. She was Master Troy's nanny back then, but when he came here, the rogues started to show up and he took them in.” “What are rogues?” Elize frowned at me. “You don’t know?” “No. My parents didn't have wolves, so we didn't live with a pack.” “Oh. I’m so sorry. Rogues are wolves without packs.” “So my parents were rogues?” “Only if they renounced their packs and ran away without their Alpha’s permission. Even though I hated myself for that, I knew there was nothing I could do to save them. But what I couldn’t forget was after the rogue killed my parents. It glared at me with its yellow eyes and dirty black fur for some minutes without attacking me. Then, just like that, it disappeared in front of me, leaving me and my parents’ lifeless bodies on the ground. Shaking and whimpering, I rushed to my parents and hugged them as I cried. The image of the rogue leaving me unharmed while I couldn’t protect myself kept haunting me.

I returned to my room, sitting at the edge of the bed while going through the media. Posts about the event that occurred in Club 9 were topping the headlines on every blog. A few minutes into my silence, I started hearing my parents voices. They were quarreling once again. I slipped out of the room and crept my way down the stairs to listen. It was about Adrain. “I was against this! You chose to use him as a lab rat! Now look!” My mother fired, eyes blood red as she held the fork to my father's face. “Adrian is stronger than you think. He’s a Loretto. He’ll get past this stage and you’ll thank me for creating the strongest asset we could ever dream of as rogues,” my father boasted.

To bad he would not be able to help me escape, he must be loyal to his Alpha or he would be kicked out of the pack and end up turning rogue. Which meant no leader and other packs kill rogue on sight due to their lawlessness and no loyalty. They are like rodents eating your vegetables in the garden. No one liked rogues. Funny enough that is what I was, my brother and parents. We had to leave our pack behind because of Alpha Keeram, many packs feared him. Unfortunately mine was one of them, my Alpha Jake feared him so much so, that he was going to hand me over like a present. That's why we had no other choice but to go rogue and hide.

“But I tried to be enough.” She swallows. “Who is my dad?” I knew this was coming. I prepared for it. It still feels like cutting her open with my bare hands. “Your father,” I say carefully, “your father was Richard Blackwood.” Her breath catches. “What?” “Richard Blackwood. Former Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack.” “Eli’s dad,” she says. “Yes.” The color drains from her face. “That is sick,” she says. “That is why you hated us being close.”

You know nothing about her.” “She is a Rogue, that is all the information I need.” “She’s a Rogue because of you and all the other Alphas!” He turns in his chair to look at me, “I did no such thing.” “I saw the folder, father. I know exactly what her parents did. I know how you and the other Alpha’s exiled her family for what her parents did. Do you have any idea what you did to her by doing that?”

I was mad when I realized that this Rogue had killed my parents. " It was a business deal, and I paid you to deliver him and his mate to me. You wanted them out of the way so that you could become the new beta of your Pack. What happened? Did Alpha Dean kick you out? Did you think he would not realize your daughter is a human?" Ben asks. I'm ready to attack as I realize this Rogue killed my parents. I can kill one of them at one time. Every one of them killed my parents. My uncle sold out my father. I know he helped the Rogue killed father and mother. I knew my uncle was not strong enough to do it alone. My father would have killed him.

I muttered. This was a question I kept asking myself but still, I couldn't find a perfect answer for it which just had me boiling in so much anger. She had not only embarrassed me, the Alpha, but she had embarrassed the entire pack and now, everyone was convinced that we attack and fight a lot hence the name “Rogues” which we had been called for as long as i could remember.
