The Delta's Daughter - Book 1

Standing up after what felt like hours but was only minutes, I held my glass and sipped the satisfying bitter liquid again. The huge floor-to-ceiling window I stood at looked out towards the back of the palace. I could see the royal gardens to my left, which were in full bloom with the June heat, boasting colorful rose bushes and trees of green, smaller flowers lining the gravel walkways. In the center sat a gazebo and I could see my Queen and the Beta’s mate, Olivia, sitting in deep conversation.
