Romans & histoires Rosie's Games

Inés pivoted, north wing, maids’ quarters. Instead, she slipped south. *** The laundry room was empty. She locked the door, pulled out her phone, and snapped blurry pictures of the notebook page lodged in her memory. Names, dates, PROJECT 5D, scribbled as best she could recall. Not proof, but a breadcrumb. A floorboard creaked. Inés’ stomach dropped. She shoved the phone into her pocket and turned. Gabriel filled the doorway. A silent wall in charcoal suit. “How did you…? The door….?”

The girl jiggled them with a playful laugh. “You can touch them if you want.” Rebecca rapidly shook her head. “N-No thank you.” The girl shrugged. “I’m Rosanne by the way. Rose or Rosie, whatever you like.” Rosie crept closer, closing the small distance between them. The innocent smile on her face didn’t seem so innocent anymore. With nowhere to go, Rebecca watched with apprehension as Rosie got closer and closer to her.

she asked, curiosity getting the better of her. Rosie held up a box of cards. "We're playing Cards Against Humanity!" she exclaimed, a mischievous glint in her eye. Luke chuckled. "You know that's going to get dirty, right?" he said, raising an eyebrow. Sarah laughed. "I'm game if you are," she said, grinning. As they settled in to play, Sarah felt a sense of normalcy wash over her. This was what she needed, she thought. A night in with friends, laughing and joking around.

And you had no trouble believing her. Rosie received quite a few threats from Susan. Something about her particularly riled Susan up. Rosie would just dance off and laugh. She went to my school, so I already knew she wasn't on the same planet as other people. For a start, she was always muttering or singing to herself. In the middle of a baseball game, she'd lose interest, wander off or balance her bat on her forehead back and forth. Rosie made me laugh and she was never nasty...but I can see why she drove a lot of coaches and teammates crazy.

Lyon, informed Ronald. "Wow, that's a big gap. What game is that?" Ronald asked. "It doesn't have a name, I found it myself, so I haven't given it a name yet," Lyon said. "Oh, I see. Aunt Rosy failed that much because you probably didn't tell her the rules of the game." Ronald said and dropped Lyon. "Aunt Rosy said she was bad at playing games herself, so even if I have told her the rules, she still won't win," Lyon told Ronald.

She then turned to Emily's father, "I've known you to be a peaceful man, unlike some pissed-off boys that always want their hands dirty with blood, not like they know how to clean it perfectly. Being a game player is different from being the master of the game, so now from being a master I've been reduced to not just a normal player but a starter and I hate that we now have a common enemy." It was quite difficult to understand Rosie's words. I didn't understand what she meant by us having a common enemy but I knew it could be somewhat related to Ethan. "I doubt anyone understood a word you've just said..." Chad said, "It would be best if you elaborate more and if you feel you are not up for

She began, but my brows wrinkled. 'What does she mean by 'Mind Games'? ' Rosalie's words cut through the air like a knife. “Aleric bullies you in public, but I know what goes on behind closed doors,” she hissed, her eyes glinting with accusation as she gazed at me through the mirror. “What are you talking about? There's nothing between us! You must have misunderstood,” I protested, but Rosalie's anger was already simmering over. With a sudden, violent motion, she stabbed the mirror with a knife, shattering the glass into a thousand pieces. I shrieked as she spun to face me, her eyes blazing with contempt, loathing, and jealousy.

"Brother, what do you think?" Zedekiel looked at Rose and smiled though it didn't reach his eyes. "It's beautiful. Thank you" She blushed under his gaze and Ron rolled his eyes. What's so special about an embroidered handkerchief? Once he wipes his sweat with it or cleans his nose and it's soiled, that's it. All her hard work, ruined. Queen mother also smiled then turned back to Ron. "What kind of games did you want to play with your sister? I like to play games too. Chess is my favorite"

she turned to her brother and asked. “Of course, that’s all we want. Just you, and nothing more, Mom,” he replied with a sweet smile. “Now, can you stay away from nature and come spend time with us?” The kids dragged Rose to their laptops. “Mom, teach me how to play this game; it’s kind of difficult,” Ken showed Rose the game on his laptop. “Oh, really? This is one of the simplest games I have seen in my life,” Rose said, already playing the game.

Somehow, she felt floods of butterflies dancing in her stomach in happiness. As they followed the woman, they were admired by a few couples as they passed-by, Rose glanced at Roman to see if he'll protest against it, but he still moved on with the woman without saying a word. And when they got there, they heard it was a game that consist of the parents and just two kids. The game was explained to them by instructor, and they listened attentively. After a few minutes, they were readied to play. "Aunt Rose, we are so gonna win this!" Christine whispered to Rose happily.
