By the time I reached my locker, I had collected three different stories of yesterday without asking for any of them. In the first story, Jaxon had used his Alpha command on Damien. A full dominance call, the kind that could bring a weaker wolf to its knees. Damien had apparently crumbled completely and had to be helped out of the building by two of his friends. In the second story, Jaxon and Damien had actually fought. Briefly, brutally, and entirely in Jaxon's favor. Damien had thrown the first punch. Jaxon had thrown the last one. The hallway had needed to be cleared by staff.

"This amulet does not belong to you, and we will not let you take it." The battle began, fierce and brutal. The wolves attacked with ferocity while we fought with everything we had learned. I felt the amulet's energy flowing through me, amplifying my movements and protecting us. Amid the chaos, I saw Kessler transform into his wolf form, leading the pack with unwavering bravery. Lucas and Marco fought alongside him, each showing impressive skill. Rick and my father were tasked with guarding the perimeter, ensuring no one flanked us.

They never listen! My heart pounded in my chest as I rushed her down the hall, nearly tripping over the stairs in my haste. “Someone call the pack doctor!” I barked at a passing omega, who gasped at the sight of Roxanne’s limp form in my arms before running off. I didn’t slow down. I couldn’t. The hospital was just a short drive away, but every second felt like an eternity. I kicked the car door open, placed her inside as gently as I could, and sped off. She stirred slightly, her head rolling to the side, her lips parting as if she wanted to say something. But no words came. Just a faint, pained whimper that made my wolf claw at me, asking why I brought another lady to the house.

I say, our eyes are now at the same level as I'm kneeling to meet it. 'She was right, you can't remember anything.' The wolf says. “Who?” I ask in awe. 'Don't worry Ruby, my name is Roxane, Roxs as you like calling me; your wolf. I came back just for you.' She explains ignoring my question. Her revelation excites me hence I ignore my question too. “My wolf? Really.” I ask, smiling. 'Yes darling, and I'm going to restore the memories you need. I really missed you.' Sky states. 'All you need to do is to accept me in.' She explains.

I said tiredly. “But Alpha, the coronation still has to be done here.” He said with concern. “No buts Leo, I’d have the coronation in my pack, and that’s final. For now, just take me home.” I said, and he nodded his head. My victory night and dinner with my woman were ruined, but at least we conquered the enemy, and Roxanne got back her wolf and powers. What greater gift could there be? And going by Osprey’s words, her getting back her wolf and powers simply means she was in love with me also. Because Osprey had said the only way she could get back her wolf and powers was that true love had to happen.

Roxanne's POV “Spend the night with me.” Those words replayed in my head over and over again. I didn't want to believe that I heard him clearly, but deep down, I knew that I did. Alpha Alejandro asked me to spend the night with him? Before I could even protest or something, he had already left. “Yes, he did.” My wolf giggled. “I've fantasized about sleeping on his bed. And taa-daa. Here we are today!” She sounded really excited. It wouldn't come as a surprise if she told me that she had fallen in love with him.

I sighed, he just clarified it, and now she was going to think that we’re clingy—which I think we are, but only around her. “Take your time, or do you want me to cover your shift?” RJ’s teasing voice made Roxanne glare. “NO! That’ll be unappropriated.” She quickly answered, making my wolf release a warning growl, and she didn’t care. I wanted to laugh at how my wolf wanted to get her attention, and I knew the feeling but didn’t say anything. “And you, we need to talk later after my job is done.” My wolf and I shivered at how cold and firm Roxanne’s voice was whenever she demanded something, and I—we have to get used to it.

He wiggled the leashes in his hands. "Where'd you get them?" "Just by the roadside where the second popped out from." "But they're just so cute." I gushed at the little puppies. "Do you even know their breeds?" "The hell do you take me for? They're Lhasa Apso." I defended myself. "Ten points to Roxanne!" "I'm going to have to get used to that name, innit?" "Yup." He popped the 'p'. "You know you can just call me Roxy right?"

We were inseparable until it was time for our wolf transformation. Tyra was graced with a beautiful wolf with auburn fur matching the colour of her long, flowy hair. She was beyond excited because it was huge and majestic. However, things took a drastic turn when my wolf wouldn't emerge. We all thought it was a glitch at first and decided to give it a little time. As time progressed, it became clear that I wasn't blessed with one. I quickly became the pack's outcast which didn't sit well with a purist like Tyra.

If Kael felt like steady heat, this man felt like lightning waiting to strike. He leaned against one of the porch posts, arms crossed, dark hair pulled back loosely at his neck. His eyes were lighter than Kael’s — amber with flecks of green — and far less guarded. “Let me guess,” she said. “Also a werewolf. Also weirdly intense.” His grin was quick and sharp. “Ronan. Second-in-command. And I prefer ‘charmingly intense.’” She huffed a small laugh before she could stop herself. “Lena. Newly traumatized.”
