He hung up the call and I pulled my knees to my body, sitting against a rock, trying to keep warm and awake as the drizzle intensified and turned to rain, rustling the leaves above me. I must have drifted into sleep because the next thing I knew a cold wolf's nose was poking my cheek. I gasped in shock, practically falling over, and then remembered that it was probably Tyce. He was a huge wolf—bigger than my dad in his wolf form. I couldn't make out what color his fur was except that it was dark, reminding me of a grizzly bear. His amber eyes were more vibrant than usual, glowing, staring into mine. I assumed it must have been his night vision that made them appear that way.

CASSANDRA Roxy let out a terrible roar. It was the most horrible sound I’d ever heard from a werewolf and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The dark-haired warrior sorceress didn’t cry and no tears spilled onto her cheeks, but her sea-green eyes were wide and bloodshot. “No,” she uttered as her full, lower lip trembled. “No, no, no.”

I blinked, trying to push myself up to see the person responsible for the command that had torn through the night. Responsible for the heat rippling through me with a blinding intensity. All I caught was a blur—the biggest wolf I had ever seen with fur to match the darkness—tearing through the rogues in what felt like seconds. Claws. Teeth. Blood.

She scrunched her eyes closed, making a scared gurgling sound in her throat as he pressed in again, rubbing his nose up the back of her neck as he inhaled then licked his tongue out and glided it right over the crook of her neck and over her marking spot. He let out a deep rumble of satisfaction in her ear. "Fuck, your fear smells delicious, it makes my teeth ache...I want to just sink them into your flesh and make you mine." "Drexel!" Jax yelled out, tensing up. He growled and snarled in response, lifting his head to glare at Jax and Aria saw out of the corner of her eye large teeth dripping with saliva. She realised Dominic had lost control of his wolf and he was morphing through.

Four of the females were in sight and we could even see the pups. "Now Alastor is one of the biggest wolfs to be recorded in all of history. On his four paws, he gets up to six feet! As cool as it would be to see him, he never ever comes out. He has his own den there in the ba- well would you look at that! There he is!" She pointed into the pen at the huge beast walking across the dirt. She was right, he was huge. His fur was coal-black but when the light hit it just right, it had bits of red. He was shaggy but definitely not lanky like the rest of them. He looked like a bear more than a wolf. He was sniffing around, covering more ground than I could running.
