Rose utter by then I turn around then run towards the gate and out of nowhere. I hear them shouting my name but I am too emotional right now to turn or to stop. I see that I am now on the grapes plantation, I fall on the ground when my heels hit a rock. I slowly got up and then I turn just to see Rose running towards me holding her dress up. Without her nerdy glasses, her short brownish hair that is longer straight brunet now, her face with heavy make-up but just enough to show her beauty, seeing her now she isn’t that chubby instead she is smoking hot on her green tube dress. So everything about her as Rose is an entire lie. SO... that is why she keeps on wearing loose clothes and such.

“Okay. What about the others?” He swiped to the next picture. A petite woman with auburn hair and an infectious smile stared back at me. “This is Rose. She’s a veterinary doctor, but she loves flowers and plants them in her home. You’ll find her at art shows or out in nature with her camera. She’s the creative one. If Liv was looking to get away and do something spontaneous, it’d be Rose who’d she go with.”

But I had a role to play, and my responsibilities weighed heavily on my shoulders. “Are you awake?” Rose called, bursting into my room with a basket of laundry for both me and the twins. I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I took in her vibrant presence. Rose was a beautiful girl, just sixteen, and one of the deadliest people in our circle. Yet, despite her lethal skills, she possessed a deep sense of humanity that I admired. “Barely,” I replied, a smile creeping onto my face. “What’s the news?”

Just like what was happening already. Seraphina scoffed and sat forward as a famous gossip blogger came on screen. I still don't understand why the cops are delaying the announcement. They should just put her on trial and get the whole drama over with. Or they could just send her straight to jail.”

Amanda asked with wide eyes. Rose laughed. “Yeah, but I had to leave because I couldn’t stand the former president. She was a huge bitch.” “No!” Amanda put her hands over her mouth. “What did she do?” Rose shrugged. “She drugged my juice. She was racist.” I had to mentally applaud my Rose. She was managing to give the truth without disclosing our secret. “So, Rose ended up with me.” I put my arm around her, and smiled at her. Ryan came up and put his arm around Amanda. “Hey, strangers! Still together?”

Jason said, heaving a long sigh of relief before waving his hand at the mother-daughter duo again. The maids then dragged the two of them out of the castle grounds, and soon, their loud cries and screams couldn't be heard anymore. The sun began to set, bathing the vast castle grounds in a bright orange glow. Jason's and Eric's gazes fixed on the bare stump of the apple tree in the garden. The apple tree was gone now, and the garden was filled with lavender. The little garden that Rosa used to love so much was no longer there. Avril had been the one diligently tending to it after Rosa left the world, but now, she had left as well.

“But what are you doing here?” Her eyes suddenly lit up with curiosity. “And wasn’t that your boss, Jabco Grey, outside?” she added casually. “I saw him getting into his car.” She dragged her suitcase inside and left it near the door. Rose was twenty, a university student, still young and careless in many ways. She was Riyana’s stepfather’s daughter from his first wife. After his wife passed away, he married Riyana’s mother. Their relationship was normal, not too close, not too distant.

“What I do want is information. About Rose. About hybrids. I’ve searched every source I could find, but there’s almost nothing out there. And now I’m asking you. How is she alive? She didn’t have a pulse. She was dead, Amber.” Amber’s expression flickered, her eyes darting to the ground as though she were gathering her thoughts. For a long moment, the only sound was the faint rustling of leaves in the breeze. Then, finally, she looked up, her gaze meeting mine with a seriousness that made my stomach twist.

Leaning down, he offered his hand to bring her up. Rose looked at the offered hand longingly, debating if she should follow the rules or just have fun… as the boy started to wiggle his fingers she grasped his hand and jumped up onto the side of the fence panel. The ladies were all so engrossed in ogling the soldiers and their muscles that no one noticed her for once and she could at last have some real fun! Giving the boy her attention, Rose introduced herself; “thank you for helping me get a better view young sir, I do love watching! My name is Rose Duncaster, heiress to this manor.”
