Then he stood and slowly approached me, his presence filling the space.
“Do I really have to spell it out for you?” he asked quietly.
He tilted his head slightly, a faint smile forming on his lips as he reached for my hand and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of it.
“Or,” he added, voice low, “do you just want to be sure?”
“I want to be sure,” I said firmly, lifting my gaze to meet his. “I don’t want to assume, we have a truce…remember?”
“Rule number five, both parties should not fall in love, and it came from you. You don’t do emotions.” I added, feeling extremely nervous.
