Five feet?! Does that make sense to you?” “No, they all count, my pack, everyone. Lucas is no exception either.” I pressed my fingers to the bridge of my nose, sighing, “And I guess my dad counts as well?”

“If you want me to accept you as my stepsister, then there’s only one thing you need to do.” I looked at him carefully while he was looking at me as well. I wonder if he’s being sincere with his conditions. I don’t seem to trust him anymore after the way he lied and pretended that we’re fine with each other. “What is it?” I asked. “You need to follow all my rules,” he replied. “And how many rules do you have?” He stopped poking my head before showing me his five fingers. “Rule 5: Stay away from my personal businesses…” “Whoa… who gives a set of rules counting backward?” I commented.

“Yeah, save us with your intelligence. Don’t let us fail this quiz.” I grinned at both of them. “Only if I can, haha.” They knew me too well. Cheating? Not in my vocabulary. Any kind of cheating was absolutely off-limits. “Number one…” Mr. Landers began, and I immediately stopped smiling. Focus, Reign. You need to ace this quiz. Serious mode activated. “Reign, save us! Please, have mercy on us!” Chris whispered dramatically, hands raised in mock pleading. I gestured sharply at him to be quiet. He pouted immediately. Nice try, Chris. Your pleading face will not work on me today.

"Don't make me angry, okay?" Still, there was no response, which only fueled Sam's passion and anger even more. "Answer!" Sam demanded, his voice thundering. It was terrifying and caused Beatrice to quickly nod. That made Sam smile with satisfaction, but he still didn't release his grip. There was one more thing he needed to emphasize to Beatrice. "Third rule," Sam said. This time he spoke with commanding eyes. It was not to be questioned, and Beatrice knew that if she violated it, severe punishment would follow. What exactly it was, Beatrice didn't know.

It was obvious that whatever the fifth rule was, it was the one thing that she didn’t want to be crossed the most. “Ms. Miller?” he prompted. Una clasped her fingers together, trying to calm the shaking that had quickly taken over her hands. Her head hung low as terrifying memories drifted through her mind. Was she like this when she told her previous tenants about her house rules? Will thought. “Ms. Miller…” he called to her again, softer this time. “What’s the fifth rule?” “Never ever turn the lights off at night.” Una’s bottom lip quivered with every word that left her lips. “The front porch light, the living room, and the kitchen. Hana quipped. Tom smiled, "It doesn't matter; you're going to die here anyway." Tom raised his hand and sucked up the air around Hana again; her body fell into a frozen state that could not move. It's still the magic that dominates level 5 space. Tom laughed, "Scott Hall has five implicit rules, and the last rule is not to touch handsome Tom. Wao, class E hasn't disseminated this information yet, right?"

“Yes, my way. Now, listen.” “Okay. All ears.” He lays his back on the couch and placed his legs up above the the couch, folding his arms. His socked feet were almost brushing my body. “Rule number one, this is fake.” “Yeah. I never said it was real.” “Let me finish. I mean fake fake, no romance, no intimacy. No flirting, no touching. Unless handshakes for agreement or formal hugs for filming.” I looked at his face and he was grinning. “What? This isn't funny.”

I looked across the entire room. “And one more thing. Everyone standing here tonight, remember this. The Leon family can replace a district boss. It can replace drivers, lawyers, mistresses, accountants, and even the groom at a wedding. But the rules do not change. Anyone who tries to use this family as a ladder to climb up the ranks, I’ll break their legs.” This time, every single person lowered their head. I knew this fight was far from over. The real retaliation would begin tomorrow. However, I had been waiting for this day for far too long.
