“If you want me to accept you as my stepsister, then there’s only one thing you need to do.” I looked at him carefully while he was looking at me as well. I wonder if he’s being sincere with his conditions. I don’t seem to trust him anymore after the way he lied and pretended that we’re fine with each other. “What is it?” I asked. “You need to follow all my rules,” he replied. “And how many rules do you have?” He stopped poking my head before showing me his five fingers. “Rule 5: Stay away from my personal businesses…” “Whoa… who gives a set of rules counting backward?” I commented.

Heath then pointed at the dead three-headed wolf on the ground and said, “Since we’re all team members now, you’ll need to know some ground rules. Everyone is here to get their hands on some good items. Although we came here not long ago, we have already discovered some spirited grass and spirited herb and killed some monster beasts. “All of these are good stuff. It was hard to equally divide the goods when there were four of us, so I made a small rule. When it comes to spirited grass and spirited herb, whoever saw it first has the claim to it. When it comes to monster beasts, the most valuable item will go to the one who made the most attack or gave the fatal blow. As for other things, we’l

Leah's Pov I gently wiped my mouth and stood up, "Axel we need to talk," I said, leading him to the balcony. "Here" I said, as I stretched my hand, giving him a file. Axel looked at me with raised eyebrows as he flipped it open. "These are some ground rules," I began, a firmness evident in my voice. "You need to visit Jasper once a week, and you are not allowed to let him know you are his father. Also, you can't introduce him to any of your family members," I announced to him.

Alistair explained. The tone of his every word is full of apologies but the opposite of the aura he gives off. I'm not stupid enough not to know that they will do anything just to see my limits. Should I at least leave a wound on their faces? Nah! I can't! I don't want the Philippine monsters department and the American to have a misunderstanding. But... what if they did something against the rules? "What are the rules?" I have a deep and serious question. Alistair gave me a smile. "Whoever triggered their Redo first, lost. No weapons allowed to avoid getting injured. The raid will be in just a few more days, so I want everyone unscathed." The American answered.

he argued. "You did! You did what you could. You admitted your fault to my father. And eventually got rid of the enemy. You accepted what you did wrong and that's what matters. I'm here with you. I promise I'll take away your pain. I promise I'll be your redemption." Lily spoke with determination, answering his previous questions, while still patting him gently.

Judging by how it wasn't on the map, this safe zone should help him tide through the rough opening school ceremony. "If I recall correctly, there are five rules in Godfather High. Rule one, no killing in safe zones and during safe time periods. Rule two, the microchip in our necks allow us to redeem certain benefits using credits earned in the game. It also kills us if we die. Rule three, No harming the creepy invigilators. Rule four, if you escape, you die. Lastly, the shitty game of death ends only when one survivor is left or if all the dungeon floors are cleared. I definitely lucked out this round."

and “guardians.” Rae blinked. “You want to go *toward* Lunaris,” she said. “Not away from.” “Crowe’s whole asset framework hinges on twisted versions of three rules,” Elowen said. “Unclaimed equals recoverable. Bloodline overrides contracts. Evaluation equals detention. He wrote them in his book and called them holy. That’s not where they started.” “You think the originals are sitting in some Lunaris basement,” Kieran said, “and that if we wave them in front of a panel, asset law just… evaporates?”

《SECOND CHANCE PROTOCOL ACTIVATED》 Survive the Trial. Find the True Lifeline. Failure = permanent erasure. My heart thudded so hard it hurt. “Who… who are you?” The voice continued calmly. 《RULES TO JOIN THE SURVIVAL GAMES》 Rule1: The road ahead is endless. Do not leave the truck no matter what. Rule 2: If you see yourself again do not look twice. Rule 3: If the lights go out, pray they come back. If they don’t come after 3 seconds… close your eyes and count to 10.

But the red door itself looks freshly painted, and there's something about it that wants my eyes to shift away from it, as though it doesn't belong in plain sight. "This is it," Kael says to me, but now he is guarded. "What's wrong?" "There are rules in the marketplace. No violence on the premises, no forcing, no stealing. If we play by the rules, we should be all right." Should be all right. Not exactly a rousing testimonial. Kael knocks on the red door the exact way he did earlier. Five taps consecutively, then pause, then three more. The door swings open quietly, not to show a person but only darkness outside the door.
