I have to run away! "Why?"

*Eli* The crack of the gun in the distance fades as I continue to run. I don’t know where I’m going except for south as fast as I can. I’m running over snow-covered ground, sliding down hills, trying to get away from them and closer to my own packmates so that I can use the mind-link to try to reach out for help.

Several times, I have ran hysterically through the valley of darkness with hands above my head. I have ran with no sense of direction just survival instincts flooding my mind. Most experts would call me crazy for running with zero destination in mind but sometimes in life, people just run to relieve themselves from stress; to gain freedom from a bondage they can only escape from by running. Also, against most reasonable accounts, people run to be far away from the world and be lost in their own silence.

He told her with a sad smile and turned away from her to disappear through the front door. Runa left the house at a dead run. When she reached the tree line, she shifted. She had no idea of where she was going, she only knew she had to get there fast. Her paws kicked up chunks of earth as she flashed through the trees and out of her pack's territory. I look one way and then the other. When I look back, in the distance I see a big 4 x 4 vehicle coming toward me. I rush into the trees and I shift back to human.

Parking, I breathe in the salty air. I walk down the board walk. But an ice cream and squidge my toes in the sand. I become a child again. No more making drugs, selling and shipping them. No more bills and paper work. No decisions or lies. Just me. nothing important. I walk back to my car. My Honda i10. I think it’s time for something new. Something more me. Especially since the horses are arriving soo. I need something to tow them. So I head to the nearest Toyota.
