Dark Alpha Rising: Dreams and Nightmares

Dark Alpha Rising: Dreams and Nightmares

I have to say something. “I’m not-” my voice breaks. “I’m not the best with words or speeches. And on a day like today - I can barely stand. I’m in so much pain. Everyone who is standing here - we lost. We’ve all lost so much. And words can only do so much. I just-” I swallow. “Let’s take a moment to remember everyone who gave their lives for us.” We all stand silently and I try to focus on the warmth Ally sends, and not the pit I’m trying to fall back in.

What?! We're Mates?!

What?! We're Mates?!

The once blissful surroundings now hang heavy with solemnity, the air thick with dread. With a deep breath, Dwight gathers what little courage remains within him, his voice a tremulous whisper against the backdrop of silence. "Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, friends, and family," he announces, his words carrying the weight of a thousand shattered dreams. “I stand before you today with a heart heavy with grief and a soul burdened with sorrow. Today is supposed to be the happiest day of my life, the day I will stand at the altar and pledge my love and devotion to the woman of my dreams. But fate has dealt us a cruel hand, and I must speak the words I never thought I would utter on this

The Kings Mate

The Kings Mate

Gray clearing his throat is what makes us both turn our attention to the front, he stood with his hands behind his back looking over the crowd. "I was not going to speak today but as my mate and I were getting ready, she spoke about what my mother would have wanted and I think she would have liked me to say a few words" he starts his speech his eyes now turning to me "my mother was such an incredible person, she was always putting others in front of herself and was the best role model me and my older sister could have asked for, what happened to her was such a grave tragedy and we all have been robbed of the immense ball of light that I just know would have shone and changed all of our lives

The Billionaire And The Cellist

The Billionaire And The Cellist

They come back to reality reluctantly. “I have to make a speech. Don’t run off on me Cinderella.” He smiles at her and goes to the stage. Ben and Becca stand by Rosalie and Violet joins. “Thank you so much for your generosity tonight. We all have someone that we love that has attempted or committed suicide. We’ve felt the heartbreak, battled with ourselves that maybe if we could have done or said something more or noticed the signs, they might still be here.” He looks down for a moment. An image of finding his father flashes in his thoughts. He pushes away the emotion and continues.

Do you want to laugh, cry, get excited and frustrated, have curve balls thrown from left field... and end with a perfect package tied with a bow? Then read this book...It has it ALL. I wish the author would carry on the story of Cesar or the twins or the best friend.... amazing must read!

Hands down my favorite story on here thus far! So well written & was happy to have POVs from multiple sides. Absolutely loved the characters & the character progressions - especially Rosalie who is a total badass! Lol any chance for separate stories on other characters from this story? Amazing job!!

A Secretary's Vendetta

A Secretary's Vendetta

The room was filled with mournful whispers and tear-streaked faces, each one reflecting the immense loss we all felt. "Today, we gathered to bid farewell to a dear friend, a courageous soul who had given his life in the line of duty. He was a cop, a protector of the innocent, and his untimely death" The eulogies began, each one a testament to his character and the impact he had made on countless lives. His family, friends, and fellow officers all shared their stories, their voices trembling with a mix of grief and admiration. They spoke of his courage, his selflessness, and his unwavering determination to make our community a safer place. Each word spoken was like a stab to my heart, a painf

Two Is Better Than One

Two Is Better Than One

I whispered. "My father once told me that no matter how bad things go there will always be something good coming out of it." I smiled and looked over at them. "His gone and there is nothing I can do to bring him back and that's why I'm standing here in front of all of you and give a speech about Harry Smith." I proudly smile even though my heart was breaking inside. "He was that kind of man that understood you with the smallest gesture and helped you when you needed help." I paused to take a breath.

 The Second Chance Werewolf

The Second Chance Werewolf

“Rest in peace, my daughter.” A collective gasp echoed through the crowd, and I felt shivers run down my spine. Awe mixed with grief filled the air; everyone stood in reverential silence. The sharp pang of loss hit me hard. Mom was truly gone, but her spirit resonated all around us, infusing the moment with love. I looked at Nikolai beside me. His face was etched with sorrow but also with a spark of determination. I squeezed his hand, seeking comfort in this shared pain. Logan’s speech carried weight, balancing love and loss as he honored the life of a remarkable woman.

A Castle of Secrets

A Castle of Secrets

I started, taking a deep breath, and closing my eyes briefly to fight the onset of tears, “His life was taken from us far too early, and our kingdom will mourn the loss of such a great man for many generations to come.” My voice was starting to shake. I wanted to turn my head to the left and scream that I fucking hated her. That she’s been the most pathetic excuse for a mother any child could ask for. But instead, I stay silent, focusing on my anger over the pain, because that is going to be what gets me through this speech.

Divorce to Destiny: Reclaiming My CEO Husband

Divorce to Destiny: Reclaiming My CEO Husband

“You want to know if it’s worth keeping these charities that champion against suicide alive… after the man who started them took his own life. And…he took another life with him.” The air in the room shifts again. No one expected me to be that blunt. Good. Now I have their attention. I let the silence stretch. “I cannot speak to why he took that other life but I want to speak for him.” My grip tightens on the podium. I close my eyes briefly and a single tear rolls down my cheek. I open my eyes and look around the room.

Stitching a Path to Vengeance: The Rise of Lucia Montess

Stitching a Path to Vengeance: The Rise of Lucia Montess

Lucia's speech went like this; "Dad, my hero, my guiding light... I'm standing here today, trying to find the words to say goodbye. Your sudden departure has left me and Mom with a pain so deep, it feels like our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. I remember the way you always made me feel safe, the way you encouraged me to chase my dreams, and the way you loved me unconditionally. Your smile, your laugh, your kindness... everything about you made my life brighter. Mom and I were your world, and you were ours. We were a team, a family united in love, and in an instant, our world was turned upside down. Daddy, I promise to take care of Mom, to be strong for her, and to make you proud
