Isaac watched as everyone's eyes nearly popped out of their heads in shock. To him, it was no big deal. After all, he had seen plenty of these things in Meadow Ridge, and they had been broken more times than he cared to count. So, when Adrian said this would be useful to Rafael and Carissa, Isaac didn't give it much thought. He just figured if it could keep them safe, it was worth bringing over. Rafael wanted to give it a try himself, and Isaac was more than happy to teach him.

Axe whispered, accompanied by a tug on the scissors I was also still holding. I don't. I wasn't going to let him get those scissors. He must have used the sharp object to injure his shoulder. The handle of the scissors looked exquisite and felt as if they have been crafted by an experienced craftsman. Even the mere handle looked like the hilt of an elegant sword.

He was too small to be thinking about whatever was running through his mind. "Watch them and don't f*cking touch her!" Isaac ordered Franco then left to get supplies. I had never seen Isaac in control like that before, or barking out orders. He was big like Franco but not as big as Caelum. Not many had that brute's large body of pure muscle. "I know this is very strange and scary. Isaac is going to get some bandages and disinfectant so I can make sure none of your wounds get infected. Is that ok?" I looked at both of them.

As they talked I took the opportunity to glance around the club. My eyes eventually made their way to the other end of the bar where the man from earlier was sitting and before I could look away our eyes locked. His eyes were bright and calming instantly making me feel safe. I couldn’t pull myself to look away as I was still trying to identify where I’d seen him before. His eyes were speaking to me and as hard as I tried to break the stare I couldn’t. Karsyn snapped me out of my daze by bringing me back to the present moment. “Alexa, did you hear me?” “What? I’m sorry, what did you say?” She looked at me then looked over at the guy at the other end of the bar then smiled.

"Do I have to get on that thing" Isla said making a face towards the wheelchair that was perched in front of her. "You can use crutches ma'am but it's recommended that you don't strain your foot at all, it will help fasten up the recovery plus it won't be very convenient to use the stairs with crutches" Alexander put her options in front of her as the maid set up the wheelchair and put the crutches by the wall.
