Before we could get to Sage, the rogue forcibly marked her. He’s dead now. Unfortunately, this mark is permanent, but it already looks infected.” I tell Saph what happened, and she nods, walking over to Sage on the bed. Sage is still not talking, just whimpering, and clutching her neck. Saph gasps and covers her mouth as she looks at Sage’s neck.

“You went to the house? Xavier, that was a stupid thing to do.” Sage grumbled and shook her head in disapproval as Xavier sank into the armchair. He looked exhausted, with large bags under his eyes and unbrushed hair. He had barely slept or eaten for days now. Sage sighed and felt sympathy envelop her as she watched him helplessly rest his head in his hands.

“Sage. No Phoenix has ever left the city so how do you know the pool will fade.” “Right? OK we do a test. We take you out for a night and see what the pool does. When we leave for big trips, you can call us if the pool fades and we’ll come back.” I wrap my arm around Mia. Sage eyed my arm and didn’t seem happy about it all. Sasha is an original wolf spirit of a lycan; it doesn't get any stronger than that. Sage and Liam split up and started to approach me on both sides. Sage will strike first, and Liam will strike at me while I’m distracted, fending her off. I have to counter Sage fast enough so I can quickly counter Liam so he can’t do any damage.
