I held Fatima's hand and we followed him. As soon we reached two huge double doors made out of oak tree two giant men appeared out of nowhere-literally. I jumped a little as I studied their massive built. "You have arrived , American."one of the two men commented in his deep Scottish accent. He had dark cherry red hair tied in a small pony tale and a huge beard. He didn't look pleased to see us and the way he dragged the word 'American' sounded as if Americans were a nuisance to him or to them because the other giant beside him looked really annoyed.

They move quickly to the map table where Kael left the route information. My breath catches when I recognize him. Samuel. The old healer. The one who's hated me since day one. He's holding a phone, taking pictures of the maps. His hands shake slightly, and I wonder if it's age or guilt making them tremble. "Now," Damon says quietly into his radio. The bunker's exits seal with heavy mechanical locks. Samuel spins around, eyes wide with panic. Kael steps out from the shadows on the far side of the room. He remembered the funeral, the car, the man who had driven his sister away. "Mr. Whitmore." Daniel continued. "And this is Samuel Hart, who leads our reef restoration." Vance turned to the man with the light brown hair. Sam's easy smile was there, but it did not reach his eyes. Vance studied him—too long, too closely. The way he stood. But from the looks of it, he didn't seem to be a member of the pack and it made me wonder if he was a spy. But then I could care less about that at the moment, I needed to leave as soon as I could. I didn't know if Alpha Kyle had noticed that I was missing or not.

Soon, the line comes to an end and the only person left is a woman of her age, the very one Theo was staring at earlier. Or rather was still staring at. “Alpha, this is Samantha Andrews. She is one of our best trackers.” Nicholas introduces her. “Hello, Samantha.” Charlotte smiles at her, instantly liking the vibes coming off her. “Hello, Alpha. Her red eyes flash as she bows her head. “And I’m glad to meet you.” Charlotte wants to talk more to her, to get to know her but as of now, she has no idea what she should talk about.
