Sandra seemed to be an innocent girl who didn't know anything, she was only twenty-one years old, she was also going to end her college next year, that was if there was no repetition that she was going to do. She stood up from her seat, picked up the paper, put it in her bag and left the room. It was already half past eight and she had to get to the college as soon as possible. Of course before leaving she had to go to the dining table first for breakfast. And as she walked out of her room, and down the hall, she accidentally and unexpectedly saw Erlyn coming out of her brother Marteen's room.

“Emma!” Emma shook her head slightly, pleading with her eyes. She didn’t want this to escalate. She didn’t want Alex to get more involved. Alex stared at Emma for a long moment. Too long. He knew. And the lie only made his chest burn hotter. From a distance, Sandra—who had just exited the mall—froze when she saw Alex standing in front of Emma. Her expression changed. Without hesitation, Sandra quickened her steps, approaching with a forced smile. “Alex?” she called sweetly as she wrapped her arm around his. “What a coincidence meeting you here.”

Hae-Jae barked, stepping in front of me. Sandra tilted her head, feigning innocence. “Oh, but it is. Imagine the headlines if certain people knew… imagine the whispers in church, in school, in every corner you try to hide in. Poor Anna, already stained once before, now again? People don’t forgive twice.” My blood ran cold. She knew. Maybe not everything, but enough to cut me open. “Get out,” Hae-Jae ordered, his voice dangerously calm. Sandra’s smile widened, as if she thrived on the fury she ignited. “Fine. But remember, secrets rot when you bury them. And I’m very good at digging.” She turned on her heel, her heels clicking like gunshots, and left the room.

Sandra laughed, exposing her brown teeth knowing that Vera will definitely catch her. “You always assume that because l have moved on means a man is behind it right?” “l know you, It always is.” Vera grinned, winking her eyes, sipping her drink. “So spill.” she remarked. Sandra told her about Fergus, how she met him, the night they spent together, and how he made her feel seen, happy and complete again. Vera leaned in, eyes widened. “An Italian billionaire? Sandra, are you in a romance novel?”

, Sandra said, her eyes looking in the distance dreamily as though she was really picturing the dish right now. “Can’t wait honestly, I have waited enough”, I said. “Oh don’t worry, you will get all info, I am an excellent storyteller, and even M says he likes it when I tell something,” Sandra said waving her hair off from her shoulders. “Please do not speak of M, he has been a pain in the ass the whole week,” I said pleadingly. “Hahaha”, Sandra laughed “How do you manage to actually breath when he is around?” I asked Sandra, now putting my books in the book.

“I will tell him about your secret plans to divorce him. He will lock down every bank account, hire a team of ruthless lawyers, kick you onto the street with nothing, and ruin your reputation before you can even file a paper. You will be broke, homeless, and utterly destroyed.” I stood frozen against the wall, staring at Ryan in absolute horror. My pulse thundered in my ears, every breath coming in ragged, painful gasps. “How could you do this to me?!” My voice cracked, tears of pure fury burning in my eyes. “We had an agreement! You promised to help me get my freedom, not trap me!” Ryan didn't blink and the warmth in his eyes was completely gone, replaced by a dark, dangerous stillness. “I

ERIKA’S POV “Sandra?!” I called out as I arrived at the quiet temple. “Are you here?! I have good news for you!” “What is it?” A cold voice suddenly came from behind me. I shivered. I turned around to see Sandra with a thick-covered book clutched against her chest. “Hey,” I nervously spoke. “What are you doing here?” She asked me. “C’mon, it’s no crime for me to be here. Is it?”

She's so serious about this, it kinda makes me feel less shitty about putting her in the middle of all this. "Do you have like a dating manual or something?" I ask because I think she does. "No, babe, I just read too many fucking books." She heaves a laugh, I smile at that. "Heyy, guys." Sandra stands over us in a tight green dress, her brown hair in a ponytail. Neither of us respond, we just stare up at her, waiting for her to say something else but she keeps waiting for us to respond. "Hey..." Cass trails, like she can't seem to remember Sandra's name.

If not, why would she feel bad because Sandra said he had a fiancée? “Oh, I didn’t know.” She managed to say. “But I don’t like her,” Sandra added quickly. "I don't want him to marry her." Emily raised an eyebrow. "Why?” “She’s a gold digger,” Sandra said bluntly. “I don’t care how that sounds. She spends my father's money like it grows on trees. She always wants any newly launched designer's bags, dresses, trips, and jewelry. And she always has something negative to say about me.”

Author's POV Sandra's breathing was ragged, blood trickling from a wound on her side as she ran forward and raised a trembling hand. Summoning that burst of air to snuff out Pierce's flame took great more energy than she had ever imagined. But if she did not act now, there would never be a second chance. Her exhausted eyes settled on Pierce, who blinked in shock. Before Pierce could react, Sandra muttered an incantation under her breath. She only managed to graze her forehead though, as Pierce threw out a hand and shoved her away.
