I ate the crackers and smiled at the familiar salty taste it has . Where the hell did they get all this from? I wondered.

he answered. “I can’t wait to see him!” I squealed happily, but regretted it immediately as Gabriel’s eyes darkened. He shut down for a moment as he drank his beer in silence. I praised the divine beings that our food arrived, providing a welcomed distraction. The waitress placed two enormous plates of burgers and fries in front of us and placed a bottle of ketchup on the edge of the table which we both made a grab for at the same time. “Go ahead” he ordered gently. I squeezed a pile of ketchup onto my plate then passed him the bottle which he took and squeezed all over his fries. I looked at him with disgust. “What?” he asked with a dark eyebrow cocked up, questioningly.

Xander starts the engine and begins to drive to our secret destination, "Prove it." I look at him straight in the eye and say, "Pe-nish." The word leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth. "What's wrong with you? Do you have an S problem? Say it properly." I sigh, "PE---Nersh." He bellows out a laugh, "You can't say it! You can't say PENIS!" I scream, "Stop it! It's gross!"

Clearing his throat, he uncap his pen ready to write down our orders. "I'll have the spicy shrimp taco with a bottle of water," he nods in acknowledgement and writes down what I say then turn to Cassandra. "Uh, a cheeseburger with fries and a small bottle of grape juice," He repeated our orders, telling us our meal will be ready in a few before walking off. "C'mon Xavier, I've worked with you for a long time now. I know something is bothering you. You can talk to me you know that,"

I looked at the table, sighing softly. Evangeline: Could I have a tiny piece of each to taste before making my choice? He took his plate and placed a portion of each food on it. Then, using his utensils, he carefully cut a piece of each and placed it on my plate. Everything seemed strange; I had never seen this kind of food before. I guessed what the pizza was from Xander's earlier description. He then opened a small container, telling me it was honey and that some people liked it with onion rings. I tasted the pizza; it wasn't as chewy as the sticks. The combination of tastes and flavors was incredible. Next, I tried the onion ring Xander had put on the plate, first without the honey and th
