He asks, flashing me a lopsided grin. I sigh and roll my eyes. Awh, shit. Not this again.

It’s the kind of smile that comes right before something explodes — or someone disappears. “You think I buried him?” His voice is quiet and crooning while he pulls a crooked, lopsided grin — one that doesn’t reach his eyes, all menace and mockery. It’s the kind of smile that suggests he might have buried worse. The yellowish light flickers above, throwing shadows over the sharp lines of his face. The scar above his brow twitches.

That bastard. Even now, with his lips split and blood smeared across his jaw, he was still laughing—this low, bitter sound that crawled under my skin. He didn’t look remotely remorseful. In fact, he looked like he enjoyed every second of this madness. The smugness in his expression was infuriating. I wanted to knock that grin off his face permanently. But I forced myself to calm down, just for now. I took a deep breath in, and slowly let it out.

His grin was shark like and fierce, the smile of an apex predator. I tried to match his grin but my heart was still sinking.

Just a dazed, sated hunger. A slow, wicked grin spread across his face. “So…” he said, his voice hoarse. “Fuck buddies?”

And the God of Destruction couldn’t hold back the cynical grin that stretched his lips. “Found ya”

"I'm not joining the gym. Drake will be all up my butt and all over my shiz." "Shiz? How old are you? It's shit." Lisa winked as Sicily smiled. "So vulgar!" Kari threw in Sicily's usual go-to comment and they all laughed together. The server showed back up and put their plates in front of them, Kari and Sicily thanking the boy as Lisa kept her attention on the soup in front of her.

A cruel grin spread across his face. “Perfect.”

I grinned “Better,” Shane said with a short nod. “Now at least you look hideous.” I rolled my eyes, my lips twitching. “Thanks for the confidence boost.” “Anytime,” he said dryly.

He said with a devious grin. Damn, he was getting on my nerves.
