I grinned “Better,” Shane said with a short nod. “Now at least you look hideous.” I rolled my eyes, my lips twitching. “Thanks for the confidence boost.” “Anytime,” he said dryly.

I stumbled back with a grin on my lips. "You're getting way to good at kissing." I declared to him. For a second he looked down fallen like he thought I was serious, until I began to laugh hysterically. Like deep belly laugh. He joined in and said through his laughter, "Took me a second, but I'm learning the sarcasm." I just laughed harder. Even Lunaryn was chuckling in my mind. The forest grew quiet again. Not peaceful quiet, dread quiet. The kind that settles in your chest and whispers, something is coming.

Sarclet answered nonchalantly, out of nowhere paralyzed, turned her head and broadened her eyes. He had a smile at the corner of his mouth, and his eyes were brimming with liveliness. "You! You can talk without stuttering?" He grinned and strolled to the window. Sarclet absurdly followed him and said, "You can talk without shuttering? Tell me do you have speech disorder? The man jerked the edges of his mouth and appeared to be thinking. Sarclet grunted as he did not answer. His appearance is a great blessing for her at this time. At least, she can turn all her attention to him.

The corner of his sensuous mouth curved downward in a slight sneer and his chiseled features arranged in an expression of disdain. "I don't think subjecting you all to my playing would be advisable on such a pleasant evening," he said sarcastically. "Unless, of course, the goal is to transform this lively gathering into a full-blown funeral. I'd hate to be held responsible for snuffing out the very life of anyone who might have dared to provoke my wrath."

It looked really creepy. He raised a human hand. Seeing Ms. Anastasia, he gave a terrible smile that made all his teeth visible. His lips stretched unnaturally wide, revealing a row of yellowed teeth that looked like they hadn't been brushed in years. The corners of his mouth turned up in a sinister grin, and his eyes glinted with malice. It is a smile that sends shivers down the spines of those who see it, a smile that promises nothing but trouble and pain.

Just a lighthearted jab. But the look on his face... the guilt that crept over it made me cringe. He cleared his throat awkwardly and scratched the back of his head, suddenly looking like a boy who'd been caught stealing fruit from a market stall. My laughter broke before I could stop it. "I'm kidding, Sargis. Geez. No need to take it seriously." He exhaled, a lopsided grin pulling at the corner of his mouth. "You're impossible." "Impossibly charming," I corrected with a wink.

I blushed and grinned. “Clearly, I would hope after all the sex you’ve had in your long ass life you could please a woman.” I tossed my head for good measure; in case he didn’t get my sarcasm. He did. He began to laugh, a low deep sound rumbling up from his stomach and slowly increasing in volume. His eyes crinkled at the edges with mirth as he looked down at me.

Zane had a sickening grin in his face as he met my eyes, his own darker pair shining with unconcealed amusement. “With pleasure.”

I hiss through clenched teeth as I close the space between us. My hand flies through the air and lands with a vicious crack across his face. The sound echoes in the room, loud and satisfying. His head snaps to the side, his dark hair falling slightly into his eyes. He blinks once and again. Then he grins. That slow, cocky, infuriating grin spreads across his face like he's fucking proud of himself. He likes this. "Mmm, you hit just as sweet as you moan, doll face," he drawls, tone laced with smug satisfaction.

Instead of a look of terror, a grin slowly widens across his face in evil delight. "Oh, it seems we have guests, and they were just about to leave without saying hi.”
