Sassy pov It's 7:00pm On a Friday evening I was in my room, feeling delighted as I carefully selected my outfit for the upcoming trip to my new school in North Accra. I was filled with anticipation for the exciting journey ahead and I couldn't help but admire my reflection in the mirror and the feeling of contentment it brought me. Suddenly, I heard my name being called out loud in a pleasant voice, "Sassy!!!" I asked, "Oh, Alexa, is someone calling me?"

Crystal laughed and said, “You are just too much. If it weren’t for you, I would be skipping school today. Then slowly pulled the gift she'd prepared ages ago from her bag and handed it over. Mira was mid-smirk, ready to drop some snide comment— But Vincent stopped cold. His eyes zeroed in on Sasha's hand. "Where'd you get that bracelet?" She blinked, thrown by the bite in his voice. Her fingers drifted to the bracelet, like muscle memory.

Sasha blew out a heavy, annoyed breath and then pressed his lips into a thin line, his whole face taking on a pinched expression. “Obviously, it’s an issue,” I said to Sasha, taking pity. I was well aware they had nothing. “As the pack sponsoring Severnaya Zvezda Pack, I’ll ask Tyce to put aside some funds so we can purchase them for the ladies who need them. They’re important so that you can become independent.”
