She buries her nose in the collar—inhales deep—his scent still strong: fire, cedar, faint antiseptic, him.
A grin spreads across her face—private, giddy.
Meanwhile, at the Nakamura house—
Haru slips in through the back door.
The kitchen is already alive: Seras at the counter, hair in twin buns again, humming as she packs two identical bentos—tamagoyaki spirals, teriyaki chicken, onigiri with salmon, edamame, pickled veggies, strawberries arranged in little hearts.
