Her skirt, long but with a teasing slit, moved effortlessly as she walked.
And then—she saw him.
Her brown eyes met his, softening with something shy something that sent a dangerous thrill down his spine.
He walked up to her, rubbing the back of his neck as she tilted her head up at him.
"Hey, Mona," he murmured, his voice rougher than intended.
"Hi, Kane," she replied softly, her lips curving slightly.
She squinted. "My neck hurts looking at you."
He let out a low chuckle, reaching out, his fingers brushing through her hair.
