Savannah accepted, and hugged Leia in return. Leia, passing her goodbyes, returned to her room. Savannah stepped out on the patio and watched outside, where kids were busy playing tag. She pulled the strokes on that piece of paper. She had the pain, a desire to get away from this place. A motivation to draw something that could express the feeling of vulnerability. She started stroking, and it turns out she drew a handsome face. A face she thought would love her, a man who could become the one she constantly desired.

Savannah had asked a question when she was inebriated. "Felicia, are you really over Max?" Was she truly over him? Most likely not. However, it wasn't because she was still in love with him. She was unable to let go of the hatred. Savannah exited the office when their work-related conversation was over. Felicia returned to her reports and files. Author's Pov Earlier that day. Daniel Quinn sat at the head of the long dining table, scrolling through his phone with irritation. He was dialing a number repeatedly, but it seemed the person had blocked him. "Don't stress too much. She’ll crawl back once she’s hungry enough," Vanessa said, sipping her coffee without looking up from her phone. This wasn’t the first time Elara had disappeared, and as far as she was concerned, it wouldn’t be the last. A part of her was even happy that the pest had finally left.

Slowly, I turn. Savannah stands near the concession line with Trisha beside her, both of them looking far too pleased with themselves. Wonderful. She expected to have some minutes making a video call without getting caught. Missing two people she hadn't seen almost the entire month made her sneak some time to talk through phone and video call.
