Last night was long and agonizing; somehow, I thought that I would be the one leaving Lucas Lucero with a sleepless night, but yet I proved myself wrong and was in for tortured dreams where he laid only but naked, completely out of my reach. He took the vase with a smug expression and ran his hands over its surface. “How thoughtful of you, kid.” William and Mason exchanged scornful smirks. They thought I was groveling before our enemy at the final hour.
