No Saving the Woman Who Killed My Daughter

No Saving the Woman Who Killed My Daughter

Eight years ago, my daughter, Joey Porter, was stuck in the desert of death. Her GPS had blinked out, and she ran out of supplies. She kept calling for me for over a dozen hours over the walkie-talkie. The only rescue team was an hour's flight away from her, only to get intercepted halfway there. Later on, I found out that my wife, Ruby Shaw, spent 800 thousand dollars bribing the dispatch center, rerouting the rescue team's flight route just so they could save Ruby's younger brother, Howard Shaw, instead. Howard had had too much to drink at that time, causing him to lose his way outside the resort that was located at the edge of the desert. When he was found, it turned out that he was a

THE COST OF SAVING HIM

Then five. "I just want to go on record," I said to no one in particular, "that I saved a man tonight. That's all I did. I was walking home, minding my business, and I stopped because it was the right thing to do." I paused. "I did not agree to any of this. I did not sign anything. I did not ask to be involved in whatever this is. I just want my apartment back. My notes. My life. I have an exam—" "In six days," Kane said. "You've mentioned it."

Spoilers Saved My Life

"Wendy, hurry up. I've got a surprise for you." Gideon Cross stood at the edge of the grove, waving me over. The golden light of the setting sun fell across his face. His smile was warm and familiar, reminding me of the more than two thousand days we had spent side by side. I had barely taken a step when several glowing lines of text suddenly flashed across my vision. "Don't go. There's a sulfuric acid trap in the grove."

Skeletons Of The Marital Closet

Skeletons Of The Marital Closet

Joe asked tentatively. It was because it would be futile to look any further. He was afraid Gale had already moved to an unknown place long ago! "It's only been three days. Are you going to stop? It's only been three days… Are you going to cut off my last hope completely?" Shawn said slowly. In Shawn's heart, of course, he knew that it would be useless to continue salvaging. However, as long as people were still searching, he thought he still had hope. People live by relying on hope to support them!

It's a good book. But it's too slow burn. So many chapters and still ongoing.... I wish for authornim to find conclusion to end this book. Hopefully a HE together for Shawn and Gale with their twins.

If you haven’t started this book yet, so don’t start at all. I am not saying is bad but it’s so slow and boring. The writer starts perfectly and sadly drag it around a year!!! It hasn’t finished yet. You can skip several chapters with no concern because nothing special is happening.

Night Slayer

Night Slayer

she whispered. All of these years, ever since that tragic day when her mom had disappeared and her life had changed forever, Jo had been certain she had to be dead, that there was no way her mother could’ve survived the sort of attack that left that much blood behind. Now, the world had convinced her there were possibilities she never would’ve considered before. For the first time in almost a decade, Jo looked at the moon and felt a sliver of hope. Maybe there was a chance Cadence Findley McReynolds was alive. “If you’re out there, Mama, I’m gonna find you,” she promised, her eyes still focused on the moon as her gaze narrowed with conviction. “I’m gonna find you, and I’m gonna find that bit

Chasing Feyre: Cold Alpha's Beta Mate

Chasing Feyre: Cold Alpha's Beta Mate

They always had my back. Anywhere in a fight. I was always alone. The assignments for the council were always just me. They sent guys for cover, not for me. In case something happens to me, then they intervene because God forbid the assignment is not completed in their stipulated time. Joel had shot a few people I didn’t notice, too busy with others and I repaid the favor. We were both running on adrenaline and the hope of seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel being the people most important to us. I knew my mate was out there, safe. He was hoping his wife was here, and I see why he would want to save her.

I have to say that this book is really amazing until chapter 165, after It gets stranger chapter by chapter. At the end there are a lot of mysteries that left unresolved, perhaps for a second book However, I must say that I have really enjoyed this story, it has plenty of funny moments

Guide Me, Claim Me

Guide Me, Claim Me

“He’s a victim, just like the rest of us.” Minseok sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I hope you’re right, Seojin. For all our sakes.” The airship continued its journey toward the Korean Guild HQ, the weight of our mission pressing heavily on all of us. But for the first time in a long time, I felt a flicker of hope. Jihoon was a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there was a chance for redemption, for healing. And as long as we had that, we had something worth fighting for.

When A Petty Bank Teller Kills Hope

When A Petty Bank Teller Kills Hope

Just then, a few of the customers watching nearby started speaking up for Judith. "Young lady, she's raising a child all by herself. It's not easy. Since she knows she was wrong, just help her one more time?" "She's right. The child is innocent. Your charity is donating that money to someone anyway, so what difference does it make? Be a little more forgiving and stop holding it against her!" More forgiving? I looked at those bystanders defending Judith. "There are thousands of sick children waiting in line ahead of her daughter. Some of them die before they can get the funds or a matching organ.
