I'm His Mate
When we pulled away, both of us were breathless, "I do love you, more than I ever thought I could love anyone. You know that?"
"I know," I gnawed at the corner of my lip to prevent the smile that threatened to show itself, "are you sure you're okay with this?" I quizzed, gesturing to the book that I still cradled in my hand.
"Go on, love," snaking his arm around me, and placing the other hand on my belly, he cooed, "if there's anyone I'd want to be an open book with, it's you."
"Alright then," opening the book to a random page, I skimmed through the words. There was no title but it was obvious who the poem was about. Taking a deep breath, I spoke the words aloud:
