“The shop owner is just a young lady who can make burritos—how bad could she be? The screaming and shouting stopped. All eyes turned to them, filled with a new sense of hope. "To be resurrected, you need to collect 'Redemption Points.' 9,999 of them, to be exact," Jessica continued. "But here's the catch: the points you get are tied to your fear. The more terrified you are, the fewer points you get."

Turning, I began to move towards it, unable to quite comprehend what could possibly be making that type of noise this deep in the forest. Moving forward, I came across a field with glowing blue flowers and what looked to be scarecrows. They twisted about lazily in the wind as a few birds began to land on them. Snarling, the scarecrows mouths snapped open as their claw-like hands grabbed the birds eating them in one bite. As they chewed, pieces of the birds could be seen traveling down the scarecrows skeletal throats and past their ribecages before the now-ground-up creatures hit the earth below them.

I couldn’t make out the building’s details or the faces of the people around me, just vague human shapes. Somewhere nearby, a timid girl started crying. “W-Where are we? I want to go home.” A guy with yellow-dyed hair shouted impatiently, “What the hell is this? Let me out!” Then a man and a woman stepped forward, looking calmer than the rest. They introduced themselves as veteran players—Elaine and Jethro—and kindly explained what was going on. We were inside an infinite horror game. Everyone here was already dead. If we could survive every scenario and collect the legendary 9,999 points, we’d be revived.

The game had started during the filming of the first movie in the series ... we call it 'The cheating game', everyone puts their name in a bowl and in the other bowl is different dares. Then two names are drawn and a dare ... you have to cheat your partner into doing the dare first ... it is usually something like getting drunk as a skunk, sleeping in and being late, singing loudly on set or something else silly. It is usually pretty fun and innocent, even if people tend to get really competitive at times ... but hey everyone is friends again when it is over ... it has always been just fun and games after all.
