They follow the road and reach a maize field which is surprisingly at full harvest. The whole field is lively with the green crops, swaying lightly in the breeze. A scarecrow is placed in the middle of the field but it is in a peculiar shape. “That is like a cross,” Dmitri notes. The scarecrow’s limbs are stretched to form a cross which is strange. “There is an oak tree too!” Roseanne gasps, pointing at an old oak tree which is standing a few feet from the field. “She must be living there!”
