Gideon pointed toward the letter still resting in her hands. "Keep reading." Scarlett unfolded the remaining section. There was only one paragraph left. "History is never changed by a document alone. It changes when those who once stood apart choose to defend the same truth together. Do not seek victory. Seek witnesses." Scarlett lowered the letter. The meaning settled inside her slowly, her mother had never expected one wolf to expose the lie. She had expected every honest Alpha to stand together. The evidence was not the ending, it was the beginning. The Black Fang Alpha finally smiled.

“Then I hope this chapter never ends.” --- **Later that evening**, Scarlet walked back into the fitting room for the final once-over. The seamstresses gave a few nods of satisfaction, adjusted the veil, and stepped back. She turned to the mirror again, this time not to see how she looked — but to remind herself of who she had become. A survivor. She span round, groping, trying to get hold of something, anything. “She seeks answers, dear sisters,” came a wizened voice from behind Scarlet.

It has been a week. I hadn’t written in my diary in ages. I felt the urge. I need to get everything out. Darkness Falls, changed everything. We waited for Frank to fully recover before we had the farewell ceremony. We buried Scarlet. No one spoke much. I forgave her because in the end, she tried to save me. I don’t hate her, but I don’t miss the drama she brought. During the ceremony, Frank looked every bit the strong Alpha that I know he is.
