AURORA Adrian didn’t give two shits about the creature in front of us that was emitting nightmarish screeches because he only made the car move faster and drove us right into it. I screamed when it sent the thing over the car, its screech still scarily audible even with how swiftly we were moving. My body jerked back when Adrian pressed down the accelerator like our lives depended on it—our lives actually depend on it—sending us faster than we were anything should ever be able to move.

“With the help of our police friends in Rocky and Evermount, we finally got what we were after: the make and model of the car involved. It’s a 2022 Audi R8; a sportscar.” It was like my heart stopped beating when she said this. I tried to focus on my breathing but it was not easy. I was beginning to hyperventilate. My vision got blurry for a quick second and then cleared again as I held onto the table firmly. “Are you okay?” Zayn touched my back and rubbed his hand on it in circles. “You don’t look too good. You’re getting pale.” I grabbed the glass of water on the table and took a few sips while everyone watched me. I glanced at Liam and he was calm and collected. I wish I was like him but

She was amazed to see a white limo and decided not to ride in it. “Isn’t there a cheaper car?” She sipped her coffee and asked the driver. “Ferrari 250 GTO, Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti, Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo Spider, Rolls-Royce Phantom IV State Landaulette, Aston Martin DP215, Aston Martin DBR1. 1962 Shelby 260 Cobra CSX 20000…”

“And he already has you disappearing for hours, driving you around, rearranging your life? Sounds very one night-stand-ish.” “Shut up,” I muttered. Then Carrie’s eyes darted to the window. “Wait…..Is THAT the car you came in?!” I considered lying. I really did. But she was already rushing outside like an excited child on Christmas morning. “Oh my God, Delia…” she whispered, staring at the sleek, expensive machine. “This is… a supercar. You… slept with Batmobile money.” Shawn whistled. “Damn. Whoever this man is… he is NOT normal.”

But, some supernatural phenomena do occur mostly on this night. [A/N: This is just the author's imaginative thinking, no need to put serious thought into them.] Screech! A dark red, stylish Toyota Camry is parked abruptly on the parking lot. Two people come out from the car, one grumbling in anger, while the other one had an indifferent look on his face. Both of them slung their bag on their shoulders and started venturing further into the residential building.

Then, Scarface got a bit carried away and made the worst decision in his life. He approached my Bently and his grubby fingers grazed the hood. "Nice car," he said. Well, let's just say something primal snapped. One moment, Scarface was leering. The next, his skull met asphalt under my boot. The wail that tore from his throat was music to my ears - a discordant symphony of fear. Help! Pathetic. My polished Oxfords halted mid-stride as his gaggle of street rats surged forward, their greasy hands twitching toward weapons they'd never dare draw. The bodyguards emerged from the cars and handled the rest, their gunfire popping like champagne corks.

Suddenly, Liam slammed on the brakes, and the car skidded to a stop. "What's wrong?" Stacy asked, her voice laced with alarm. Liam's face was grim as he got out of the car, Stacy following close behind. Isabelle's heart began to race as she realized something was seriously wrong. She got out of the car, her eyes fixed on the horizon. And then she saw it. The horrifying view that made her scream along with her friends. Isabelle screamed at the top of her lungs, her eyes fixed on the gruesome scene before her. Stacy and Liam also screamed in unison, their voices echoing through the desolate night. The car's headlights illuminated the horror, making it impossible to ignore.

"Mom! Mom, wake up! You scared me to death!" Greta burst into tears the moment Hilda regained consciousness. She threw herself over Hilda dramatically. Hilda patted her head, only to realize she was swaying slightly as if being moved. "Where am I?" she asked, disoriented. From the driver's seat, I said with an unsettling smile, "Mom, something on your backside popped. We're taking you to see a doctor." The car was dark, and my tone startled her so badly that it took her a few moments to process what was going on.

"Coward! There's no such thing as scary! Just keep driving!" When the driver wouldn't move an Inch, the leader rolled his eyes then gestured to the other men. "Let's go check whatever's in the middle of the road then." They all left the car while I peered out through the window, watching as they breezed about, inspecting the road. Then suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream filled the air and a lifeless body rammed into the screen of the car, making me shriek in horror. Not long enough, the sound of bones breaking and cries of pain was everywhere. My legs got the message and I quickly peeled out of the car, almost breaking the door handle out of fear.

“What are these for?” Scarlett stared at a whole row of luxurious sports cars in wide-eyed excitement. “Racing cars. They’ve got a racing game here every Saturday night.” Sophie turned to her and explained. “Ah. Got it!” Even as Scarlett dealt with socializing with Jeff and Sophie’s friends, she couldn’t move her eyes away from the rows of high-configuration sports cars only 10 meters away. They were all modified supercars, some even outfitted with nitrogen tanks to speed them up. This was a visual feast– she felt her mouth grow wet with desire.
