I braced myself and continued. I began thinking about the rumors I had heard in the pack—rogues, witches, and vampires who killed and feasted on flesh and blood. Some victims were even used for black magic. Fear overwhelmed me, dread crawled up my spine, but I refused to back down. It was now or never. As I walked deeper into the forest, the noises in the bushes grew louder and seemed to be approaching fast. I thought I heard footsteps—or maybe it was just fear playing tricks on my head.

But if it was possible… As the search results populated the screen, I clicked on the first article that caught my eye, hoping it would shed some light on my problem. Mo shuddered to think of it. No matter how she thought if it, she knew those dreams were a nasty premonition. She had the first one before they even knew of Morenike's existence. Finishing the head completed his transformation to a godlike state." Why did the baby always refer to her as it's mother in her dream? She turned in her bed. There was no way that this was good news. She had a very horrible feeling about it.

One of the most famous ghosts in the southern states of the USA is "Soap Sally". In the 1950s, there was an old lady soap-maker who walked the streets of the mill villages kidnapping children and murdering them to use the fat in their bodies to make soap. There were numerous reports of people having seen her for years after her death. Every time a child went missing, Soap Sally could be seen wandering the streets, carrying her knapsack full of soap. I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon.

The vampire then burned down into ashes and the other monster run away and left. For years, I've been obsessed with these creatures. I wanted to learn facts about them but all I can find was folklore and tales. Nobody was able to prove their existence and I'll end up in a mental asylum if I tell anyone that these creatures are real. I started doubting my sanity. Maybe it wasn't real; perhaps it was just a pigment of my imagination as a child. It's been eight years and yet I still wake up in the middle of the night screaming, covered in sweat with this memory of my parents dying in front of me as if it was just yesterday.

There is just something about the dark that is so scary. I might be a werewolf but those ghost stories do scare the hell out of me. I kept imagining seeing things as we walked through the forest. A tree that looked like a giant person, a short person with a big head and no eyes. ‘Ahhhhh, what in the world is wrong with you? You are supposed to be the strongest, bravest she-wolf but here you are being afraid of ghosts,' my wolf said and I chuckled. I did that to wake her up, she had been too quiet for my liking.

“But why did you sound so scared?” My mother looked at the dress she had just folded; her short dark brown hair framed her face and hid her expression from me. Then she placed the dress neatly into suitcase and locked her hazel eyes to my light green ones. “There’s a lore about them in my hometown. It’s said that they are demons that went after beautiful women, especially virgins. They came at night when everyone was sleeping and raped the girls, sometimes more than once.”

"Every myth is real darling. And here in Brookedale, we have everything supernatural. From centaurs to demons, to fairies and dryads. And flagaes are magical demon beings living in a kind of special glass." Mollie said. "So, Vampires, werewolves, sorcerers and witches are normal around here?" "Not really. We all keep our identities a secret. Only a supernatural knows another supernatural. We wouldn't want to scare the humans." I said.

“Do you think it’s haunted?” My breath sticks in my chest at her words. Before I can say anything, Jack laughs. “Don’t be stupid. Of course it isn’t haunted.” “Some people think it is,” I counter. “There have always been stories about this place, about the swamp.” The woman pauses as an uneasy shadow flickers across her delicate features. “What kind of stories?” she presses. Jack once again cuts me off. “Who gives a shit?” he chuckles. “Ghosts, witches, werewolves–that’s all kid stuff. The only thing we should be afraid of is the IRS.”

I pulled it from the shelf and sat down at the table, flipping it open. The first few pages were filled with the usual stuff—founding dates, town milestones, and the kind of folklore that every small town seemed to have. But as I read further, the stories grew darker. Mentions of strange disappearances, shadowy figures in the woods, and whispers of creatures that hunted under the full moon. Wolves. My breath caught in my throat as I skimmed over the passages. It wasn’t just talk of wild animals. There were stories—centuries old—of people who could shift into wolves. People who lived among the townsfolk by day but became something else under the cover of darkness.
