It's a mystery novel about two mates who find each other while they are both trying to catch the same serial killer that's on the loose.

The dim, golden light from the chandeliers above created pools of light and shadow, adding to the library’s timeless atmosphere. I searched diligently, combing through the aisles dedicated to ancient mysteries and the occult. The titles were intriguing yet obscure, written in languages I could barely decipher. Just as despair began to settle in, my eyes caught sight of a section labeled "Ancient Mysteries of the Wolf Race." My heart leaped with hope as I approached the section, quickly pulling out a few volumes.

I unfold it with trembling fingers, revealing a hastily written note: "Trust no one. They will kill to protect their secrets." The handwriting is unfamiliar, but the weight of the words sends a shiver down my spine. Before I can process the note, the sound of footsteps in the hallway freezes me in place. Someone’s coming. I shove the note into my pocket and slide the book back onto the shelf, then duck behind a large armchair near the window. The library door creaks open, and I hold my breath. The figure that steps inside is tall and broad, moving with a predatory grace that makes my stomach twist. The dim light catches on the scar running down his cheek.
