Sharon cried out as she chased her. Lectures once again was uneventful and Daniel managed to stay focused. Though he couldn’t get the feeling out of his mind that something terrible was about to happen. He couldn’t place his finger on it but the danger alert button on his brain kept blinking red. If there was one special gift he had, it was the ability to anticipate bad omen. As much as he tried to shake it off, it always came back to stick to his mind like glue. By 6pm, lectures were over. He stood up and was about to leave the class when his phone buzzed. It was an inbox from an unknown number. Opening it, he saw a message:

My fingers brushed over the spines of old, forgotten books as I moved past rows of tall shelves, eyes scanning for anything on hybrid white wolves. Finally, I spotted it—a book about hybrids, tucked behind a cracked wooden panel marked Forbidden. I reached for it. I barely had time to register the strange chill in the air when I felt it. A presence. My body froze, every instinct snapping into high alert. I took a cautious step deeper between the shelves. “Who's there?” I called. No answer. Suddenly—an arm grabbed my waist and yanked me back. “Wha—!” I barely got a sound out before a hand clamped over my mouth.

I supposed reading probably wasn’t an interest of hers. My fingers stopped on the spine of a black book with silver lettering stamped into the spine. Mysteries of Vampires, Werewolves and Humans, it read. I considered it for a moment before sliding it out of the shelf. Was it a journal? A scientific or historical text? I took a seat on the sofa and began to read, quickly snapping the book shut when I read the explicit words on the pages and felt the heat crawl up my face.

The bookstore, once a haven of tranquility, had become the epicenter of a chilling mystery, and I was now on a relentless quest for answers. * I sat alone at the bar of the bookstore, the dim light casting long shadows on the shelves of books. I reached for my phone and dialed Clive’s number, needing a ride home. He reassured me that he was on his way. As I waited on the stool, a sudden vision washed over me. Room 8 was at the very end. I took a deep breath, the air burning my lungs. The door handle was cold under my trembling hand. I pushed it open. The room was shrouded in shadow, save for a single candle flickering on a small table. A tall, broad-shouldered man sat in a chair with his back to me. A wave of dread, as thick as the air itself, washed over me. "You came," he said, his voice a low, familiar growl. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. I froze in the doorway, my body a statue of sheer terror. The voice was a ghost from a past I didn't remember.

They were midway across the path, in front of a cemetery when suddenly graves started opening. "What is going on?" Isabella asked, clutching onto Chris tightly. Chris was suddenly sweating so furiously but Ariel was cool and her face was blank and devoid of any emotions. They stood there watching six tombs open and six scary-looking ghosts walked out. Isabella was already whitish in appearance knowing who they are. Chris's hairs were all up and his eyes green, his normal sight nature. "GREETINGS TO THE SPECIAL ONE." One of them muttered. "GREETINGS TO THE LITTLE GODDESS." Another muttered.

I can feel a shiver run down my spine as I gulp. Something is weird about the atmosphere... how come everyone suddenly disappears? I slowly swallow the candy that was sitting in my mouth. It was a soft candy, so it didn't hurt my throat. Clenching the handle of my bag tightly, I try to walk as normally as I could master. *Bathump! Bathump!* Calm down... there must be a reasonable explanation why this happened, right? A shadow shape of a person appeared behind me. The more I try to walk faster, the more it follows me. Turning around to the different alleyway, I tried to lose the shadow. Since I wasn't paying attention to where I'm heading, I ended up walking to a dead end.

It feels like something under my chest are about to explode. The surroundings are so blurry and the next thing I knew is my back hit something before darkness subside my consciousness. ### Amira's POV I excitedly scan my newly bought book from the bookstore lately. It's all about paranormal stories. It was so thick as it consists of different paranormal stories. Since I get so tired of reading cliche romance stories, I have tried out reading horror again since I'm fond of it as well. As soon as I opened the first page, it excites me after reading first sentence.

At least with the trusty young librarian. “How about something scary?” I look at the mom before handing her the book we had already discussed while the child had been in class. “Is it too scary?” The girl pulls her hands back and turns to her mother. “Is just a little bit.” I place the book on the counter and wait for her to make the decision. “Or there’s a not scary one I think you’d like.” I watch amused as her forehead creases, she’s thinking hard and the smile as she takes the copy of Sam Wu is Not Afraid of Ghosts.
