Before she could fully grasp the meaning, Greta flinched and jumped three feet away in fright. I helpfully explained, "It's an incurable sexually transmitted disease." Hilda froze, and her face turned beet red. In the next second, she started wailing out loud. "How could you slander me like this, doctor? What will become of my reputation? You're an incompetent doctor. You're a quack!" After yelling at the doctor, she instinctively turned to Greta for support. To her dismay, Greta had already retreated to the doorway. With a pale face, Greta stammered, "Doctor, I was sitting so close to her. Could she have passed it to me?"

I pull my hand back to search, but the wolf starts back up again. "Give me a moment, alright?" I shoo him off and he plops down with his head down. "Angus, Apollo, Archie, Ash, Axel, Baxter, Bingo, Bruce, Bruno, Champ, Charlie, Chester, Chip, Coco, Dexter, Duke, Eddie, Felix, Frankie, Freddy, George, Griffin, Hunter, Kane, King, Lenny, Logan, Marty, Max, Milo, Nelson, Noah, Ollie, Oscar, Ozzy, Peanut, Pepper, Prince, Rambo, Rocco, Romeo, Sam, Scooby, Scout, Simba, Snoopy, Spencer, Spike, Spot, Tucker, Walter, Woody," I skip over the names as quickly as I can. I know for a fact I won't use common names, whether the wolf likes it or not.

She leans in close and sniffs me, her long tangled grey hair tickling my nose. Hearing a demented laugh explode from her, I inwardly cringe while she raises her head and peers at me with the scariest eyes I have ever seen. When they look at me, it's as if I am peering into a deep red abyss, so terrifying that I could only ever imagine it in my worst of nightmares. Her face is grotesque and when she laughs again, I see two teeth. Those two teeth though, look razor sharp like fangs.

And they prohibited most of the abilities that make me a demon from usage. I nickname the man Jerk, although my clairvoyance told me he is a regular human nicknamed Jackal. I don’t know what business he has with Scarlet, but she is allowing him to flip up her skirt under the covered table, which I can see from the table behind. His left-hand glides down her skirt and feels her bare bottom. She is wearing a lacy thong that matches her bra and while seeing the lace gives me a reaction; I am jealous that someone else, instead of me, has his dirty fingers touching her intimate parts.

"His name is Zale Alcazar," Her smile completely faded by hearing Violet's answer. Violet saw a displeased look to form on her face. "What kind of name is this?" She scrunched her nose in displeasure. Violet chuckled at her reaction. "His name is just as ugly and scary as him," Violet laughed and then caressed her head. "That's bad, Cia. Calling someone's name bad is very wrong," "But his name is scary just like his face,"she uttered, frowning.

What was a good name for a baby? Because they wouldn’t always be a baby. Being at school with a bad name could be terrible. Kids could really be cruel. She remembered being at school with one kid named Scott… great name, but the kids had called him Scotty Snotty. It was the kids that had been little shits. How could actors or famous people call their kids’ stupid names? April often laughed at them when they got announced. Thinking poor kid. Now it was their turn to think of a name that wouldn’t put their child into therapy.

he shrugs. "What should I name her?" I ask. "Scar?" "Not that name," I frown. "Well, in The Lion King, there is that lion with a scar, and his name is Scar, so I thought it's ideal," he explains. "No, a scar shouldn't define her." I start trying out some names, but nothing seems to suit her. I exhale,

“Connor… what are you talking about?” He studied her face for a second longer, as if weighing something. Then he spoke quietly and calmly. “I think his name is Scar. Do you know anything about that?” Kyla froze, just for a split second. But it was enough. Scar? Did he just say the name Scar? Her blood ran cold. There was no way Connor could’ve known that name. Not unless he had been listening somehow. Or had followed her. Or tapped something. Because Scar wasn’t an identity people stumbled on. And if you happened to know he was on your trail, you still wouldn't know who he was.

A second time would be possible. Alex eventually squirmed in my arms. "Mummy." "Yes?" "I can't breathe." I loosened my hold. "Sorry." He grinned. Then Allison climbed into my lap. "Mummy." "Yes?" "The scary man has a giant TV." It took me a moment to realise the scary man was her way of referring to Jude. Trust the twins to give everyone they meet a nickname. Mae started coughing suspiciously. Definitely hiding laughter. "His name is Jude." "The scary man Jude."

he scolded me. I bit my tongue as I spoke, “yes, sir.” I walked to the wall and pushed the bookcase and went straight to my room. Showered and crawled into bed. I allowed my wall to come down from blocking my wolf, “what is you’re name anyway, or should I just call you horny wolf.” She giggled, “your close, but my name is Scarlett, now don’t block me again, it’s not nice.”
