Amelia's heart pounded loudly in her chest, her hands trembling as she clutched her phone. The text message before her seemed like a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. She couldn't believe what she was reading on her phone. Her eyes darted back and forth, scanning the ominous text message once again. "Stop at the bakery with my niece in your hands, no one must follow you," the message read. "Escape through the back without alerting anyone. I'll be waiting for you, else your lovely mom would pay for your sins."

Paranoid. Dangerous. My phone buzzed. Unknown number. I almost didn’t look. But I did. A text message. *Poor thing. All alone. No one believes you. It must be so hard. Don’t worry it’ll be over soon. A* My blood went cold. She was texting me now. Taunting me. And if I showed Dante, he’d say I sent it to myself. That I was making it up. I was trapped. Completely trapped. And somewhere in this house, Alicia was smiling.

Noah ran in after her. "What messages?" He asked. Natalia unlocked her phone, but she could not find any texts from the number that had texted, threatening her, and scaring her almost to death. In fact, there were no traces of a conversation between them. Everything, the messages the person sent, the texts she sent, all wiped off. "Are you going to show me the messages?" Noah asked impatiently. "I-I can't find them. I swear that someone sent me messages telling me that they would kill me." Natalia said looking distraught.

The phones seemed to give Charlotte and her friend a glimmer of hope. To them, the clients listed were their lifelines. However, the phones in our factory were far from normal. My phone buzzed like it was about to burst out in fumes with nearly twenty messages right at the moment I switched it on. Who on earth was that? What on earth did they want? I spread on my bed after getting rid of my shoes and stared at the screen to see who was so restless to send twenty text messages to me in just a few hours. Scrolling down, I saw Scar's voice messages, with many emojis, asking me how I was, get well soon, sorry, etc. It was common for us. I am used to getting stupid texts. But as I scroll my finger down further, I found a weird text message, which actually started with the word, Bitch...;

I was standing in front of the mirror but I wasn't looking at my reflection. My phone began to beep and I slowly walked to where I kept it on the bed. I picked it and it was an anonymous message that said I'M GONNA MAKE YOU MISERABLE I shook immediately and goose bumps stood up all over my flesh. I read the text again and I was scared. I've never gotten a message like this and I prayed never to have. I know a couple of people who got such messages and things didn't go well with them I managed to drop the phone and dress up. Then I forwarded the message to my manager. He was shocked and he filed a report immediately

Each message from the unknown sender was like a shadow darkening her day. During lunch, she sat with Nicole and Mae, the familiar comfort of their presence a balm to her nerves. But even surrounded by friends, the tension gnawed at her. Nicole frowned, catching the worried look in Lila’s eyes. “What’s going on? You look like you’re about to burst.” Lila hesitated, then finally showed them the messages. “It’s this—somebody keeps texting me these horrible things.” Mae’s brows drew together in concern. “That’s messed up. Have you thought about blocking the number?”

Her mind louder than ever. She stared at the ceiling. And smiled. Just slightly. For the first time in weeks— she felt safe. Then— her phone lit up. A text. Brian. Emma frowned. Opened it. Brian: We need to talk. Her stomach dropped. Another message came immediately. Brian: I found something. Her breath caught. Her fingers tightened around the phone. Then— the third message. The screen glowed in the darkness. Cold. Sharp. Terrifying. Brian: Call me as soon as you wake up.

I've never gotten messages like this, not even when two club members punched each other's faces. Thirty messages from April alone. Her texts blurred into each other, but a few stood out. “Did you do it?” “Arian, please tell me it’s not true.” “WHY ARE YOU NOT ANSWERING YOUR PHONE?” “Where are you? I know you didn't do it, just answer your damn phone.” “Arian, don't do anything stupid.” “What the hell is she talking about?” My hands were shaking. Before I could reply, new notifications kept coming in like a storm. My group chats were flooded. My inbox had jumped from ten to ninety-four unread messages in the space of one night.
