“Story!” I couldn’t help but smile. “You want a story?” I asked, stifling a laugh. The children nodded excitedly. “The wolf story!” one of them exclaimed. “We want to hear the wolf story again!” How could I refuse? The ‘wolf story’ in question was one that I had made up yesterday on the spot, a story about a rogue wolf chasing a little girl. It was a scary story that had made the children gasp, their eyes wide with fear, but they seemed to love it.

“What’s going on?” “It’s all over town,” Sara said, her words tumbling out in a rush. “The people who went into the woods - they’re telling stories. Elena, they’re saying there were werewolves out there. Actual werewolves. And not just that - there’s talk about some kind of... dark magic coming out of the trees.” Elena’s stomach dropped, her fingers tightening around the phone. “Dark magic?”

Or was that whole cave story just a load of BS to get my sympathy and secure his blood contract? All of a sudden, I felt a gentle touch on my hand, jolting me back to reality. It was Scarlett, her hand placed softly over mine. “Don't worry, nobody believed her,” she said reassuringly. “Not even the doctors. I mean, vampires? That's just a silly story to spook kids. They're not real. Besides, the bite mark was way too animalistic and deep to be caused by a human—let alone someone as young as Vivaldi.”

Scarlett’s POV: I turned letting another big loud scream, but my eyes widened when I saw my friends laughing so hard at me...what the hell? I couldn't stand on my feet, I was shaking still terrified, I looked at Anthony who was holding his phone, he clicked on his phone, I heard the sound of the wolf coming from his phone, the one I heard minutes ago, I was still confused, till the realization hit me.

Scared also startled I jumped back and just then I heard my friends shouting at the top of their lungs. Turning around I saw different body parts of humans and animals were lying or hanging from the wall. What the hell was this? Could we even call this house? It was worse than the haunted houses. "What is all this? A greeting way of your mother-in-law?" The Wyatt said as his fangs were coming out. He wasn't good at holding his huger same goes for another new vamp who was looking at blood.
