The scientist rummaged through Alex’s pockets and pulled out a badge. “A police dog, huh? How dare they send one of you here,” the scientist muttered, clearly unaware of the outside world beyond the company walls. It was as if everyone inside the lab existed in complete isolation, detached from any reality beyond their secretive work—just as one would expect from people deeply immersed in scientific pursuits.

Branden escorted Catherine to the laboratory door. On their way, Marshall messaged Catherine. He was relieved when he was sure Catherine had set off and was almost at the lab. As the car eased in, Catherine caught sight of Marshall standing by the stairs and smiled. "Professor Hartley's got an interesting character." Branden was always attentive to Catherine. He glanced out the window after hearing her words. "Some people are just born for research!" Branden said. Only ones like Marshall, who could endure, weren't bothered by fame, and devoted themselves entirely to their experiments, could scale the heights of science.

Flo asked since the battlefield was not her area of expertise. “To him, it’s a strategy. We call him the crazy scientist for a reason.” I gently breathed out, “He is a genius who has gone overboard with his experiments. He’s too hungry for knowledge and a historical breakthrough for which people of power are using him to produce a remarkable revolution.”

I was also hoping he would get up anytime soon, as I felt that once my father was done with his tale, he'd attack again—and I didn't think I could hold him off on my own. "Dr. Carter, which I presume you know by now, is a scientist who has worked on a lot of projects over the years. I had been chasing down a particular werewolf when I bumped into him and his lab, as well as the organization he worked for, who weren't interested in what he had discovered.

“It’s great to meet a fellow scientist.” Ivan smiled and took it, his handshake firm but polite. “The pleasure is mine,” he replied, his tone cool and sincere. As our hands parted, I studied him properly. He looked… normal. Friendly. His shaggy, buttery-blond hair framed a youthful face, and his light brown eyes held an easy intelligence that immediately put me at ease. He seemed like the kind of person who laughed easily, who enjoyed learning, who didn’t treat knowledge like a weapon.

“There are still some shifters that are injured. I’m going to heal them while Avani finishes up and since I can’t leave you alone, you’re coming with me.” “Oh, alright.” He says, walking more willingly. “I can help you.” I snort. “I doubt any of them will let you touch them. Besides, aren’t scientists supposed to study things, not heal people.” “My brother is a doctor. I had to study some medicine to become a scientist. I can help.” “You studied human medicine and science. We’re not human in case you missed that.” I say, walking up to some of the shifters. They snarl, seeing the scientist who stops short.

through his words pain is flowing. That is being strong. Strong people break down sometimes, and it takes courage to keep what is breaking you inside. Letting it out means that the limit is reach. And it is okay because even if many people see them as a hero, they are still human beings. They breakdown, but they are not allowed to give up. Many lives are on their shoulders. Dr. Smith is fully aware that these young scientists he is with have their desires and dreams to experience what is like to live in a normal world without humanoids, without disease and without anything unusual.

It was as if she had just accidentally managed to melt the man's negative personality. The man's hand now began to search for her hand, shaking nervously. She could even see over and over the nervousness that was now evident on the immortal werewolf man's face. It should be impossible for her to reach the man, considering that the man must have met people far greater than her. The man may have met Sir Isaac Newton––one of the greatest scientists in the world that discovered the force of gravity and the theory of colour. Or maybe, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Or maybe, he had met Queen Elizabeth I and become the secret lover of Queen Elizabeth I without ever being inscribed in royal history.

I could feel that I`m living my dream as I used to back in the days with the Clever- learner. Almost every after school, my brother took me to the Old- man scientist laboratory since he couldn’t last year. The Old man was cool to me and I learnt a lot from him. I just couldn’t bare the fact that his voice sounded familiar. “To be a great scientist, you should be unique, patient, and aiming. That’s if you know what I mean.” said the Old man scientist. “I am. My dream is one of a kind, that’s why I`m calm with the delay though it annoys me. I have a purpose for my dream after all.”

If he was, he sure had a funny way of showing it. “Castor is…..well….I guess in a way our scientist of sorts. He helps us with medical needs but also has been doing his own research into things, and he also has a deep network of information that may interest you.” He pursed his lips in thought. Ok, well now that changed things a bit, the old man had a network of spies, did he?
