Blood Moon Rising - The Lumenwild Trials

Blood Moon Rising - The Lumenwild Trials

“Doesn’t mean we stop doing it.” Before the argument could spiral, the air shifted, wards chiming in a rapid, discordant sequence that made my skin prickle. “There,” I breathed. The eastern tree line shimmered, reality thinning like cloth pulled too hard. From the distortion stepped three figures, cloaked not in shadow but in absence, as if the world had forgotten to finish drawing them. Voidbound. My heart thudded once, hard. “They shouldn’t be able to walk this close,” Kyren growled.

Overnight Magnate

Overnight Magnate

It was shocking to hear that the Scion had returned. "They aren't coming back for Saint Logan's item, right?" one of them mused. "Who knows? All we know is that this is bad. This is going to bring world destruction like it did the last time against the Tellius Empire!" It was then that Logan caught the snowy-faired arm. The crowd was stunned. "He got him!" No one had ever captured the Scion with their bare hand. It was like catching light. It was so bright that Logan's eyes were blinded. Yik's four golden orbs were being drained.

Shadow Moon

Shadow Moon

Intrigued by this mysterious girl with silver hair and ember eyes, he resolved to get to know her better. Offering her a ride was his way of extending an olive branch, an invitation into his world. At first, Aqua hesitated, politely declining his offer. But as the heavens opened up and rain began to pour down in torrents, her resolve softened, and she accepted. The moment she climbed into his truck, Damon couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The old Chevy pickup may have seen better days, but to Damon, it was more than just a vehicle—it was a symbol of his roots, a connection to his past. He drove it with pride, a tribute to his uncle, who had passed away. His uncle was the only one

Shadow Pact

Shadow Pact

Emily announced proudly, peering over William's shoulder, clearly oblivious to his discomfort. "It's Sekhmet?" William asked her. "You're sure? This is very important. Are you sure?" She gave him a puzzled look. With her eyebrows raised, she gave the air another small sniff to double-check her findings. "It's him," she confirmed. "I'd offer you a secret handshake or password if we had one," Sekhmet said lightly as he continued toward them with deliberate slowness; his arms held out to either side of him in a classic pose of surrender. "But since we don't, you'll have to take my word for it. I'm me. Scout's honor. I know you can't smell me, but there's a reason for it."

Chased By The Light

Chased By The Light

I said sarcastically. Rubbing the back of his neck, he said, "Yeah, I'm not great with words. The point is, as a Scion, you release a pheromone that werewolf Alpha’s, vampire Sires, and shifter Kings can smell. All unmated Alphas, Sires, or Kings will be interested in you, and not all of them would give you a choice. Some are so desperate to have a Scion as their mate that they will do anything, even kidnap you..." "You mean like you did today?" I snickered, but when I met his eyes, he wasn’t laughing. He wasn’t even smiling.

So lovely to see a book on this site using correct grammar. I don't love the sudden personality shift of the main character. I would have softened him originally if she was going to follow that behavior trend. However, overall, compelling story where you want to learn more about the characters.

Blake clapped his hands together. “No, I don’t agree.” Alex started to pull me toward his car. “Stop, Alex! Let me do this, please. Blake would never let me get hurt. Right, Blake?” I looked toward Blake. “Of course not. You’re my sister. We’re going to have all of my best mated warriors watching you and ready to intervene if necessary. But, trust me, the Bois Sombre warriors on patrol are not going to be thinking with their big heads anyway. Just look at Tyce.” Blake smirked, gesturing at Jasmine’s cousin who was currently clenching his fists, standing a few feet away, watching us.

I thought this book was well developed and I loved how it the story contined on involving both Alex and Blake's pack. I felt this story had more self reflection and perhaps self doubt with some of the MCs. But, honestly I think that is what made the bonds stronger and independently grow.

This book is already so much better than the first. I'm hoping that Jasmine doesn't remain a doormat with Lucy and she gets her comeuppance. I also hope Luke regrets his decision and becomes jealous. Jasmine deserves better than those 2. love Blake! Talia and Alex story definitely intriguing.

Moonbound

Moonbound

Kael lying on the ground. Elara screaming. Her mother bleeding. Her father falling. The First Mother disappearing. The wolves being swallowed by darkness. Emily stared in horror. "No." The Void smiled. Choose. Emily's hands trembled. "You're doing this again." Doing what? "Trying to make me choose." The Void tilted its head. You cannot save everyone. Emily slowly raised her sword. "That's what everyone keeps telling me." The Void laughed. Because it is true. Emily looked at the images. Then she noticed something.

The Siren's Scion

The Siren's Scion

"The bad energy is strong, but it will be gone soon. I promise." Shaken, I retreated. I couldn't fight her physically. I had to understand. I focused not on attacking, but on listening. I pushed my awareness towards her, past her polished surface. The flashes were jarring. Raw emotions, jagged images. A deep, bitter resentment towards our mother. A burning fury—she had been passed over, deemed unworthy of the Siren's legacy that flowed in our veins. And then, a hungry need—a vision of me, of Elara, our potential power swirling around us like a visible mist, something she desperately needed to grasp, to claim, to consume.

Spit On Me Alpha

Spit On Me Alpha

SYLAVRA POV Three days later, we stood at the heart of the spreading void. The scar in reality had grown to the size of a city, and it was still expanding. In twelve hours, it would reach the last refugees from Stormfang. In twenty-four hours, it would reach the border towns. In seventy-two hours, it would consume the central continent and begin spreading toward the other kingdoms. Unless someone stopped it. "There has to be another way," I said for the hundredth time. But I was already walking toward the scar. Already moving closer to the thing that sang in my blood. The void recognized me. It wanted me. And I was finally ready to give it what it wanted.
