“Mr. Nichols.” Scott set the cake down on the coffee table and sat beside her. He gently wiped away the tears that had spilled from her eyes. “You’ve watched this movie so many times. Why are you still crying?” he asked, his voice soft. “This movie… it’s too sad,” she murmured.
