My mind racing, I realized with a jolt of shock that it was Roxy who had me pinned beneath her. My mind reeled in shock as I struggled to comprehend the impossibility of my situation. How was Roxy, a mere Risen, able to overpower me with such ease? I was a Reaver, a being of unyielding supernatural strength and resilience, and yet she had me pinned to the ground with an unyielding grip. I attempted to establish a mind link with Atreyu, but he was either unconscious or dead, and I couldn't see him to determine his fate.

But then, my foot caught the edge of the rug, and before I knew it, I stumbled. Her small hand reached to steady me, but I was too heavy. We both fell and she was lying beneath me I was about to get off her… but then I froze. What I saw me made my pulse quicken — and for a moment, I forgot to breathe.

He exploded into motion, his blade a silver blur that severed one of the creature's legs in a single, powerful stroke. The Scourge lost its balance, shrieking as it tumbled backward. Before it could recover, Cassius was on it, plunging his sword straight through its chest and pinning it to the stone floor. Its ember-like eyes flickered for a moment and then extinguished. Its form dissolved into a final wisp of shadow, leaving nothing behind but silence and the echo of my own ragged breathing.

Neither of us let the other get the upper hand. Rose had aggression that took the rogue by surprise we may be big, but we are strong, the rogue threw his head into mine, but it didn't really do much to us the way he thought it would. Rose swiped her paw across his face cutting his cheek. He turned back at me growling with as much force as he could before he lunged back at me. Rose dodged his attack spun around and latched on to his back leg, he let out a yelp before kicking Rose off.

"Things feel rather easy right now, dying with my beloved woman. I'd like to which of our guns are faster, yours or mine." He gently held up Rosalie's hand and kissed it. "Rose, we've been through thick and thin. In the afterlife, I'll continue fighting with Justin over you. We'll see which of us will be the ultimate victor." "Theo, kill him, quick!" Rose yelled. "Don't bother about me! Kill him and tear him to pieces! Make sure his soul is completely annihilated, so he won't stand a chance at getting reincarnated!" Rosalie's wrath burst forth at that moment as she yelled at the top of her lungs, completely losing control of herself.

I remain hidden, crouching behind a tree, my heart pounding in anticipation. Rosalee steps deeper into the woods, finally stopping in a small clearing. She looks around one last time, her gaze sweeping the area, but she doesn’t see me. I stay perfectly still, my breath shallow as I watch her. She begins to undress, and my eyes are immediately drawn to a large scar that runs across her back. It’s jagged, old, and clearly from a time before she gained her wolf. The sight of it stirs something deep within me, an ache of sympathy and anger at whoever or whatever caused her such pain.

A looked crossed his eyes,but it went away as quickly as it came, and soon he was looking at me amused again. "Of course, I didn't anticipate finding raunchy books in a sweet girl's bag, you're definitely right. Noted, I'm never doing that again." I scowled and he smirked. "So Rosie?" He asked, I couldn't help it, I rolled my eyes at that, rubbing at my temples. "No, my name's Rosette, not Rosie. That's childish." "Okay, so Rose. Well that's a pretty name for a very pretty girl, as cliché as it sounds, it's the truth, you're a pretty little flower." And the blush that was barely receding was back again.
