The words hung in the air. Heavy. Ugly. True. And for a moment— I couldn’t breathe. Then Sebastian moved. Slowly. Carefully. Like I was something fragile he didn’t want to break further. He stepped closer. Not touching me yet. Just… there. “You want to know what I see?” he said quietly. I didn’t answer. Didn’t trust my voice. “I see someone who survived something that should have destroyed her.” My lips trembled. “I see someone who came back and still chose to fight.”

Marcus stepped behind her pushing the wheel chair out of the ward. Scar is seated on the bed wrapped in a duvet,she looks pale and weak with eye bags. Marcus set the camera facing her properly,her scars that made her look formerly dangerous now made her look vulnerable,like someone beaten down by life,a number of times. “Good day guys,I'm Scar ,yeah that's how I remember my name, though people call me Lisa but I don't feel connected to it” She coughed, Marcus passed her a handkerchief,her hands trembled as she collected it,she coughed into it,her body trembling as she coughed,she raised her tears filled eyes, sniffing softly.

They were surface-level, but it was almost like he’d been sliced by a sword. They were shallow, fine marks hardly budding with blood. “How are you feeling?” Sebastian asked. “I’m okay,” I assured him—but answering that question sounded so silly. He was the one with giant gashes on his chest. I allowed my eyes linger on his wound—but let them drop no further. “What happened to you?”

This man almost doubled his muscle mass. His dark brown hair had subtle streaks of red throughout. His eyes were green with hints of gold. They were the most amazing things I had ever seen. Looking at him made my heart pound. His eyes were focused on mine as he held my gaze. The scar on the left side of his neck was faded, the sight of it enraged me. I didn’t know why I was so upset about him being hurt. I felt myself begin to get lost in his eyes when my mind snapped me out of it.
